Great Fun!. What is better than hanging out seeing your favorite concert in total surround screens and sound? Drinking and munching, too! I have only two things to say: 1/2 PRICE DRAFTS, and CHILI FRIES! OMGD. 20oz burger almost resulted in a Death Sentence for me, but I loved every evil bite of it. Weekends are awesome now that I have this place, (and stopping in after work is always a pleasure.) Sol is a cool guy and always makes sure everything is tip-top.

The Best Burger????. The fact that this place just won best burger in Chicago shows me that I need to stop reading this website. If this is the best burger place in Chicago I need to move out.

Gotta be the Burger!. In true Chicago fashion, the burgers at Lockdown Bar have got to be the best in town. When they arrive at your seat, the burgers stand tall and proud. The chef has done a masterful job with the presentation. The meat is juicy and piping hot, made to order, and no matter which one you choose - many with very catchy names - the condiments are always fresh. I have sampled burgers throughout the city, but very very few, could stand next to the burgers at Lockdown. Even the pricey and trendy places in the loop can't be out these master pieces. I suggest you run out and try them today!

New Chef!. I had heard that Lockdown got a new chef, and decided to try them out, as I'm always looking for a good (Great!) burger place. After checking it out online, I wasn't sure the atmosphere would work for me, mixing a prison theme with hard rock/metal concerts played on DVD's, but they somehow found a way! Love how the big picture windows open up like garage doors when the weather is nice! Music wasn't too loud, and they do a great mix of artists, from the 70's to current, but seemd to go heavy on the 80's. Not a problem, but on to the food. Be careful if you order appetizers; you may not have room left for the entree! The Barb'd Wire (cheese fries) or Prison Shank (steak and cucumber salad) could qualify as entrees themselves, and very tasty! But the burgers, those MUST be tried! 10oz burgers, juicy, cooked perfectly! Try the Ponzi Scheme! I never would have thought to put apples on a burger, but this works! Fresh cut fries, that have some kind of seasoning were delicious. Drink prices are not bad, plus specials every day, and soda/lemonade served in Mason jars! Highly recommended! It wasn't too crowded on a Tue evening, but I think that's because it's still one of those hidden gems that only a few know about. Kudo's to the Chef and kitchen crew for food that goes WAY above your typical "bar" food! I will be returning, with all my friends.

Root for the underdog.... So I randomly walked in this place after a show across the street with a few friends in June...Walked in and Chili Peppers concert is playing and there's a good crowd, not overly crowded but not empty, about perfect.

We were seated right away by one of the waitresses (super friendly) and ordered what we assumed to be regular bar food....and then we got our burgers........

Amazing burger that was juicy and huge with a perfect pile of what looked like double cooked fries...and to top it off, they have this fry sauce/dip that is worth coming for just in itself that they serve with your food...I don't feel like writing too much more, but I do like supporting a place with very cool and friendly staff that greets and literally welcomes anyone and everyone and treats them the same...I get lots of weird looks in various places but Lockdown was cool and comfortable and I've been back about 4-5 times with friends who've all dug it too.

There are quite a few "corporate" burger places...but I like supporting underdogs and good people and I feel like in the months and years to come, Lockdown will definitely leave it's mark on Chicago.
