Roto-Rooter Experience. I needed to have my sewer line cleaned because of blockage due to tree roots. This was an emergency situation because it happened all at once and we could not use any water or plumbing until it was fixed. I called at 11:00 pm and they were at my house at 8:00 the next day as promised. They quoted a price of $365. The worker was great, very friendly and knowledgable. However, the problem appeared to be too difficult to fix by just rotting it out. My brother had come over and he suggested that they run the rooter through the toilet as their tool would not fit in my crawlspace. Luckily, the worker did this. If my brother were not here though the guy would have just left. Several hours passed with no improvement. The worker then had to call in another team for an additional $200. He did tell me upfront that this would be an extra cost on top of the $365. It took almost 2 hours for the second team to arrive. When they hooked up their machine and cable to the other one that was already here they were able to go beyond 100 feet to reach the point where the blockage was. I am disappointed though because while it appears so far to have worked, the first worker said he had wanted to go further then the 100 feet to make sure there was not another blockage, but the second team was in a hurry to leave. The total bill was $690. I feel that for that much money the second team should have stayed and run the cable further. This was all just yesterday, so I don't know yet if it is fixed for right now, or if it is fixed for good. I would rate the first worker 5 stars, but because of the way things were handled with the second team I am only rating the whole experience as 2 stars.
