A stellar pick on Jewelers' Row. I needed my engagement ring resized, and they did it onsite and same-day. Score!

I discovered their scam. I purchased $7000 worth of jewelry for Christmas at this fine establisment, including a diamond bracelet. The bracelet was manufactured (by design) to fit a gorilla, not a woman. At the time of purchase, the salesman indicated that when it was re-sized, they would "work something out" to repurchase the extra links from me. Whoa! Surprise, surprise. I made a set of earings from a few links, and but now stuck with a few remaining diamonds and bracelet fragments. Buy them back? Give me a modest store credit? The salesman went through the routine of 'asking the manager' only to tell me they valued the remanants of the bracelet at .... $0. What a scam--I would have taken $100 just on principle. So here is the scam: make at bracelet 120% of normal size, charge for it, and let the customer be unhappy with the outcome. Not to mention, imply that what they sell you in the first place is not worth what they say it is. They will not see me again. Learn from this, customers!!!

Do NOT go here!!. I went here to get my TAG watch refinished. Harvey helped me and they told me it was going to be $85 and take a week to refinish. I thought that it was expensive but have never had a watch refinished before so I went for it. Upon picking up my watch, it looked great like new, until I traveled to NYC one week later. I tried to adjust my watch to the new time zone and the hands wouldn't move! Upon inspecting the back of my watch it was clear that they had taken the timpiece apart to clean it, not only messing up the watch in the process but also voiding my 2 year warranty! They assured me that they never open a diving watch when refinishing and would have asked me first anyway, however how else to explain the back of my watch being in a different position as well as it suddenly stopped working! Now I have to send it into TAG to be reapaired for $100s...on my own tab!! I should have just done that in the first place. If you have nice jewelry/watches that you care about do NOT take them to this place!

High pressue?. Have to agree with the above. I went here when I first started shopping and told them I was just looking. They seemed OK at first but when I told them I wanted to look around, it seemed they started to pressure me to put down a deposit or the stone would be "sold." I just felt I was pressured and I decided to shop elsewhere.

David is great to deal with. Spent several hours helping us pick the right ring.. Met David and he showed us some rings and stones. He did not rush us, and left us alone to discuss our potential purchase. Checked the prices and quality and you cannot beat the value for the money at this store.

Need to learn something about customer service... I normally don't write reviews, but felt that I needed to in this case. The salespeople here are loud and abrasive. They are pushy, and do not listen to what you ask for. I asked for a 6 prong setting. The man brings out a 4 prong. I let him know again that I want a 6 prong, and he basically won't bring it out because he doesn't feel like going to get it. He did not return phone calls regarding the stone. I ordered a band, and he cancelled the order because he hadn't heard from me. I didn't realize that I needed to call in periodically so that he would keep the order rolling, when he had told me it would be 4 - 5 weeks! Take your business elsewhere.
