People not food. How can anyone recommend A.j.'s. It was closed by the Board of Health who found a furry creature swimming in the blender. It is being repainted and renamed C.J.'s Allegedly sold to cousin. Forget it! The place should be demolished.

Hamilton's is not known for it's food. It is the place to meet a mate. Go down to city hall and half the bureaucrats tell you they met their mate at Hamiltongs

College bar. If you're planning on going at night from Thursday to Saturday, you'd better be a Loyola student or at least look like one or you'll stick out like a sore thumb. Decent music in front, back bar has rap and usually some dirty dancing on Thursday and Friday nights. Saturdays in the back are a blast with 80s night. Drinks are ok but bartenders are usually pretty nice and treat you well if you treat them well. Watch out for creepy old guys. Really young crowd...we're talking a lot of freshmen, so be prepared for the immaturity level.

Utter Garbage!. My fiance and I went in here to grab something to eat on a Wednesday night. We ordered 2 soft drinks (they serve RC), which were under-carbonated, watery, and had a weird taste. After explaining this to the obviously disinterested server, she brought us two new drinks of the same quality. Then our order arrived. My cheeseburger was burnt to a crisp and they got her order wrong (chicken, not a hamburger). We shared my hamburger while we waited. And waited. And waited. We finally decided to leave before things got any worse. We found our server, handed her the check and told her we just wanted to pay and leave. She told us that she had to call the manager. So we waited for permission to pay and leave. And waited. And waited. Finally, I told her that we were tired of waiting and that we needed to go. When the dumpy manager came down, he never looked at us, asked the server what the problem was, or spoke to us -- he just rang up the order and left without even bothering to say hello or ask what was wrong, let alone apologize to us. All-in-all, we were given crappy service, crappy food, and crappy management. I recommend anyone looking for a decent place to get a quick bite to eat to look elsewhere. AJ's down the street has better quality food and at a cheaper price than this place. Even Burger King can out-do Hamilton's and you don't need a manager's approval to pay your bill.

Good Food, Good Drinks, Good Price. The food here is great! Everytime I come here I get something new and it is so good! They also have some really good specials! One drawback is that it does get very crowded, but it is a really big place. Service has always been good and food and drinks get to you fast. Great place to go, but better during the week when it's less crowded and there's better specials.

Got to love this place.... This bar may be the only justifiable reason to EVER go to Rogers Park. Hamiltons is a tradition which has long stood, and will for many years to come, hopefully. The drinks may be weak, and the beer flat and warm, but who can beat 500 LUC girls dancing to old school rap (think "eazy-e") and weak house? I sure cant, so for my money, (usualy a $3 cover for guys) no place beats Hamie's.

cliques 'R' us. A college bar that consists of Loyola students. If you go out to meet new people and want to have fun...then this place is not for you. Traditional to Loyala's style- If you're not in the group, you're out of the group. Cliques, cliques, and more cliques.

good, but not the same. don't get me wrong, hammies is still better than lincoln park any night of the week, but things just aren't the same with the new crew in there. i will admit, it looks and smells a bit better, but those things will never make up for the fun the old customers and staff used to have. i would rather have dirty bathrooms and warm tap beer than to have lost the fun of wet t-shirt contests, flame-blowing bartenders (MANAGERS!), ridiculous karaoke and a fun-loving (someitmes drunk) staff.
