Excellent, reliable quality Italian.
I have eaten here many times over the past few years, both with friends and family. It has never once failed to disappoint them.
The atmosphere is very rustic, you really feel like you are somewhere else (Venice maybe?). It is a bit narrow of a restaurant, not too narrow, but noticeable (although that has never been a problem for me with larger groups).
The bread is especially delicious, if you are lucky you might get it when it is fresh out of the oven. Appetizers are tasty, although their soup of the day always puts them to shame.
For lunch, you can never go wrong with Trattoria's pasta. That being said, they make equally delicious sandwiches at lunchtime. My favorite is the Turkey Mona Lisa, which also comes with an order of Trattoria's home-made sweet potato chips. If that isn't what you're in the mood for they also make scrumptious pizza as well.
For dinner, if you are especially hungry then consider the Grilled Flatiron Steak, grilled just right every time, it satisfies even the hungriest of appetites. Otherwise, the pasta is spectacular. My favorite is one of the most simple, Linguini Marinara, which features a fresh, tangy-but-not-too-tangy marinara sauce, perfectly cooked noodles, and to top it off - one of Trattoria's mouthwatering home-made meatballs. Be sure to ask for more bread as this complements almost any main course.
For dessert, you can't go wrong with tiramisu. Just enough sweetness, with enough character to back it up, makes for a perfect ending to a wonderful meal.
Recommended.
Great food, low prices. A group of 10 friends got together here recently and had a great time. The food was great and the service was fast.
Awful experience, terrible service.
How do you say "going downhill" in Italian?
That's what's going on here. Chef is still learning his job and they don't seem to mind experimenting on the patrons. Yuk!
Great anytime. This place is a great date place. The food is excellent, but not served in gigantic proportions. Every time I go (about once a month), the service is excellent, not to quick, not too slow. Even when we order wine our bill is very reasonable.
Nice delight. Here youll find a small simple Italian restaurant scene, but fabulous food. Meals are of descent proportions but not Maggianos style. I felt that a lot of thought went into the menu, which left you with a selection that mixed both traditional fair and more ethnic plates that you wont see at your basic Italian spot. The food was excellent! You could tell that fresh ingredients are used throughout and I truly believe that the pasta was so good that it had to be homemade. I tried the Gnocchi and an Alfredo dish. Beyond the tastes being so good, what I also loved was that it was not your traditional heavy American style Italian meal, but rather a lighter, truer representation of what you would find in Venice. Service was fine and the bill was just as pleasant as the bill.
