Excellent private lesson!.
I recently had a private lesson with matt covey to address leash issues with an older dog that I recently adopted. I had taken the dog to another trainer that I had used in the past, however she was
unable to correct the issues I was having with this dog. I found Suburban K9 on the internet and contacted them. In speaking with Matt, he determined a private lesson could help with my issues and would be the most affordable choice.
During the lesson Matt gave me some great tips for getting the dog to heal. After about 20 minutes of work I was walking by other people and other dogs. It was an amazing transformation and I am greatful for it. I have kept up with the healing since the lesson and am having a lot of success. The dog still makes mistakes, but now I know what to do to get him back under control. We accomplished this with only one lesson! Great Training and great follow up.
I had Matt Covey come to my home to do a behavioral assessment/training session. He spent quite a while talking with us and took a large amount of notes to figure out what the problem was. We
figured out that one of our dogs was attacking the other due to fear rather than just being mean or aggressive. We spent some time doing some exercises to alleviate the situation and he left us with a detailed follow up plan. He even called back three or four days later to check on our progress. The dogs aren't perfect yet, but we have had our first month long stretch without a fight in almost a year!
