Little Market Brasserie

After a big opening, a chef usually wants to take a little break. Not Chef Ryan Poli, whose still-new Tavernita hasn't even calmed down. He has moved straight into scene two and opened Little Market American Brasserie, a comfort food restaurant in the Gold Coast. The space is striking, starting with a classic hotel bar that opens up into an intricately-tiled dining room with a backlit centerpiece of cacti and driftwood rising up out of the center. Despite the Southwestern feel, the food is straight-up modern American: Deviled eggs, shrimp cocktail, lobster roll, pork belly and brussels sprouts. Oh, and the "all-day grilled cheese," which combines a fried egg, cheddar, bacon, avocado and siracha.
