The Scene
It's a coffee shop. It's a bakery. It's a pub. Things you can do at Scottie McBean: Have a mocha, learn about coffee roasting, eat lunch, listen to acoustic guitar and bongo players, access the Internet, buy coffee-pot cleaner, and drink a beer. If you're in the mood to shop, browse shelves filled with coffee beans, flavor syrups, mugs, T-shirts, coffee pots and books.
The Fare
It's live. According to Scottie (the shop, not the dog), coffee becomes stale after 14 days and loses its flavor. Coffee is roasted every morning right in the cafe in a giant metal contraption. Eight different brews are offered daily, in self-serve carafes. If you're strictly decaf, try a fresh fruit smoothie. Lunch and dinner items are offered, such as sandwiches and soups.

I been coming to this place since it reopened with new management in Nov. of 2004. Great Sandwiches, Good Coffee and a variety of seating - Lounge, Booths, Tables, Patio & Group Meeting Room. Service is a little slow... But the place is a must stop for those who want to slow down for bit and enjoy the day. They have a setch Artist there every Saturday... music and more...
Pros: Quality Coffee, Good Food, Average Prices
