Editorial Review for John's Roast Pork – by Elisa Ludwig

In Short
John's opens at the crack of dawn to service the waterfront's working people, offering all manner of egg and meat sandwiches. The real magic happens at lunchtime: The namesake roast pork sandwich is juicy and peppery, sliced thin and served on a Kaiser roll with sharp prvolone, gravy soaking the roll. The cheese steak is nothing to sniff at, with a seeded roll crisply encasing perfectly seasoned beef and American cheese.

I was in philly for work, and worked the bar tenders for the best cheese steak in town. I recieved many options but after my own research and tasting only one stood out. went to Ricks at reading terminal BLAHHH, had one at J r at 18 thn Blahhh, even went down to south philly for the famous Pats and genos, very comercial might as well have went to wendys, the best cheese steak in philly goes to Johns with A grat HArd roll with About 2lbs of meat and Sharp provo, must have sharp , order quick or move on, it is behind the Lowes home improvement store off S. columbus on Snyder. After many tries this is the best intown

In 8+yrs visiting John's I've never had a cheesesteak there. The Italian roast pork sandwich is second to NONE!! Tony Luke"s should be this good . Come early, cause when the bread runs out, shop's closed.(by 2-3pm)Health food it aint, but should not be missed.

Pros: Good bread, Great pork, good value

Cons: bad location, chem.plant nxt door
