Still a $3.00 Theater!
by Everett552
This theater is still the same from when I use to frequent it back in the early 90's (1993-1994). The ticket prices are still the same and it's now 2009! Everything has gone up so much over the years and this theater has survived it all. The popcorn and other snack items are still @ a reasonable price, the seats are comfortable, no sticky floors, there are no unruly children running around, the bathrooms are kept cleaned and there is NO disturbance (talking, cell phones ringing) from other movie goers during the movie. This particular theater plays second run movies that are on their way to DVD from the bigger theaters such as AMC, SONY, LOEWS, etc..... which beats buying a bad bootleg copy off the street!
- Pros: reasonbale prices
- Cons: need more concession food items
vintage old school theater!!!!!!

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect.! It's one of the surviving old movie theaters! (like the davis) $3 always all the time, 24/7, 365 days a year! you cant beat it! amazing. if you are a theater snob needing lattes, brand new carpet, oversized areana seating and don't care to save and support independant businesses, don't go. theaters are smaller in size and great wallpaper. ! the ticket take also serves you your popcorn! can't let these places die!
it's in the hood! train stop across the street (logan blue line) and city lot across the street. endless meters on milwaukee also. ride your bike!
- Pros: all!
- Cons: none.
Don't be late

Sure, this place isn't top notch, nor do they play the latest films. It is, however, cheap, comfortable and guaranteed to knock the socks off watching a VHS on your Magnavox. You also won't be bombarded with ads or excessive previews while you're waiting for the show. That said, the show usually starts on time, if not a few minutes early. Oh, and gotta love the checkerboard bathrooms.
There's always a good crop of second run movies playing here.

In Short
All four theaters at the Logan have Dolby surround sound. Theaters 1 and 4 are the largest, seating 265; Theater 2 is the smallest with 175 seats and Theater 3 seats 200. Located just north of Logan Square, this discount house opens their ticket booth 15 minutes before the first showtime.
