RIP OFF
by amilya
I belonged to this gym for almost a year. I had an open ended contract which is nice- if they allow you to cancel. I gave them over 45 days notice of cancellation. Guess what- they claim that they did not receive it. I went to the gym and submitted it in person. They did not offer me a photocopy. That's my big mistake- always get a photocopy!!!! They do this all the time at various locations as I have found in the last 20 minutes through a simple google search. Bad Bad business.
The gym itself is in a convenient location but it's in a basement and the machines are too close together. The sound is often broken on the tv earplugs. They offer a lot of classes - I love Brent the yoga teacher. The other yoga teacher will touch you and may hurt you ( I know a couple of people that she hurt). The pilates class is pretty good. They usually charge $64 a month- which is what they owe me for November!
- Pros: Location, lots of classes
- Cons: Basement, failing equipment, they "lose" paperwork and continue to charge you.

Gym fuses fitness and entertainment with classes that include Cardio Striptease, Firefighter Workout, Cycle Karaoke, African Dance and Disco Yoga.
This budget gym trims the fat off its patrons at streamlined facilities.

The Scene
Most Ballys stick to the basics for their design. Televisions broadcast silently above multiple rows of cardio machines; mirrored walls act as the primary decorative components. But thanks to high-energy television ads and low-impact membership premiums, this national fitness chain has steadily attracted a clientele bent on saving money while losing weight or gaining muscle.
The Workout
Using fairly standard strength-training equipment and/or racks well-stocked with free weights, the best of the trainers here, who are classified at four different levels, can be as skillful as those found at costlier gyms. For group classes, signature exercise options include Spinning and Powerflex, as well as a number of patented routines inspired by Tae Kwon Do.
Not all that...

Didn't enjoy working out at this gym at all--it was way too small and the people weren't all that friendly. It is too expensive for what they have to offer, which isn't much.
