Love it!! by Vanessa R. at InsiderPages

When you walk in most likely you will feel crowded and out of place. There is a bar in the front where you can order your drinks while you wait to be seated. When you are seated you are greeted by your waiter or waitress very warmly. They bring you bread and butter that is to die for. Then you order your meal. The meal comes in very healthy portions so usually you get stuffed while your eating there and then you can take the rest home with you. It is a little pricey but not outrageous. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Francesca's always has a good crowd, even on weekdays. The food is outstanding, great Italian dishes. LOVE the bartenders - friendly, attentive and makes awesome martini's! If you haven't been here before - try them out! You won't be disappointed!
Good Italian fare

Francesca's is a chain in Chicago that serves up good Italian fare. The portions are too big and should be shared family style. The service is average and the taste is good but again not authentic. The salads are delicious and so are the seafood dishes.

Menu changes frequently and I have never had anything that wasn't good to great. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and experience. The amibience is nice and cozy. I highly recommend a visit.
- Pros: Food, Price, Ambience
Great Italian food at reasonable prices makes this rustic trattoria a popular choice for suburbanites.

In Short
The charm of this place lies in its relaxed, understated decor. Attractive sepia-toned photos recall a pastoral Italy, while a rolled copper-mesh ceiling muffles much of the noise from the hardwood floors below. Starters on the classic Italian menu include favorites like fried calamari, bruschetta and risotto. Among entrees, roasted veal medallions are plated with colorful baby artichokes and wild mushrooms, while spinach-topped roasted salmon is finished in a light shallot cream sauce.
- Pros: reliable Italianrelaxing atmosphere

This restaurant is loacted in the middle of a nice little downtown area. A group of us were in the area for several weeks and found Francesca's on-line. After the first visit we quickly decided it was worth a return visit, which we made. The food was fresh and affordable, the wine choices good, the service efficient, and the atmosphere very comfortable. There are several menu choices, including pastas and seafood/meat dishes. Everyone was very pleased with their entrees and appetizers. Worth a visit even if youaren't right next door. Parking is available in lots right across the street.
