BAR is a great place to go for something different. From the clientel, which ranges from the young twenties to the young-at-heart fifty-somethings and yes some suburbanites and tourists, and the complete variety of music, everyone is satisfied. Of course you are not going to like it if you are going out for a $15 specialty martini and want to lounge around, see and be seen,,,that's not what bar is all about. Its about leaving the attitude at the door and having a great time. The staff is great looking and is one of the friendliest I have encountered in Chicago. They are there to make sure you have a great time and I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend BAR Chicago to anyone who just wants to have a good time without the frills... and by the way, the bathroom attendants are great! They are not trying to be trendy, they are there to make sure you are taken care of.

Pros: Great looking staff, reasonable drink prices, people always dancing

Cons: parking, but there is valet

This bar is just for tourists and college kids (or those who never went to college). For those of you who have gotten binge drinking out of your system, avoid this joint at all costs.

Pros: party bar

Cons: young crowd

If you want to dance on top of bar and have a bartender pour drinks in your mouth, then this is the place to go. It's a great place to dance to the latest music and have a no frills good time

place does not attempt to be classy. if youre looking for classy, go elsewhere. bartenders will stand on the bar and pour the booze down your throat. girls dance on top of bars. bump and grind non stop. great place to go if you r looking to hook up. not a sit down, sip a tini on the couch type place. if youre looking for a wild, crazy night with some stories, head over here. the staff is great too, top notch.

A great place to meet singles if you want a no-strings attached hook up.

This place is a great time. It is perfect to satisfy large groups because there is so much to offer. You can dance, sit and drink, or jsut hang at the bar and people watch. Always packed with a great crowd and I have always had so much fun. Great place to stop with large groups !

This place isn't terrible, and the women are pretty good looking although totally out of most guys leagues... and they know it. If you can get a "party" go, because the free admission and hour of free beer, which by the way was old and tasted like crap, is worth it (guys, either bring a girl or flash some tip money if you don't want to wait 20 minutes to get the bartenders attention). For a place that claims to be unpretentious, why do they have a bathroom attendant? This place tries to be hip and trendy without "being" hip and trendy. If you are looking for this sort of place, go to the Roadhouse.

Avoid this place like the plague. The music is all over the board. One minute they play dance/techno and the next they play Bon Jovi. The drinks come in plastic cups and were so watered down that I took to ordering shots just to ensure I got my moneys worth. .If you want to see a lot of barely 21-year-old girls that think they're on the next episode of "Girls Gone Wild" than by all means- head on over. But if youre looking for a nightclub with any degree of class, pass this one up. I met 3 girls in the bathroom on their cell phones calling home to Alabama to tell their other friends "Ya'll this place is incredible- I can dance in my thong here!" If I wanted to hang with the trailer trash of America Id be a regular on Jerry Springer.
