More commonly known as Hollywood Beach, this spot is really two in one.

The Experience
This North Side beach is roughly divided into two areas: The northern half is a favorite among families and sun worshippers from surrounding neighborhoods, while the southern half is a favorite with the Boys Town crowd. Many are determined to stick to their own side, but not caring means you've got twice as much beach on which to eat sandwiches and watermelon, wade past your ankles in the shallow surf or bake in the sun.

The Appeal
Numerous sand volleyball courts are busy with organized matches, and water Frisbee keeps the active types on their feet. Roaming vendors with frozen treats are everywhere; singles search for mates; kids run and play in the surf with dogs. The people-watching opportunities are endless.
