Great food, very trendy!

4 Taste is a great restaurant that serves mini plates, like tapas, only without the Spanish influence. The food is more gourmet. Most plates are $10, and you will probably need 2 plates per person in your party for a full meal, so it can get expensive, but it's also a fun restaurant for a drink and appetizer. The restaurant is very trendy, and just fun to be there.

There is another location too, on Walton, just west of Michigan Ave.

• Pros: great food, variety that you don't find many places
• Cons: pricey

Great food, can be pricey

4taste has a great new concept: an appetizer only restaurant. I've been there a number of times, and everything there is great. The only drawback is that they no longer carry foie gras (to my knowledge), which was one of their best dishes. But still, I recommend going there.

This is a Must SEE

Great place to sit down and relax. Great atmosphere and the staff is Great. The wine list can't be beat and if you want to see something on the menu just ask it is sure to show up. I went once and will take any visitor to the city to this hot spot. My wife and I love it and it is sure sure bet on a date.

Eclectic, cool and laid back

I absolutely love this place- it is one of my favorites. This place reminds me so much of a restaurant I would find in San Francisco's SOMA district. ZERO pretenciousness, funky house and good eats. I highly recommend this place for nibbles and to take a first date - or two!

Excellent environment & great service

4-Taste has a great selection of unique appetizers (that's all they serve) from escargot to apple ravioli. Outstanding environment to meet people or to relax. Moreover, the host makes sure everyone feels very comfortable and welcome. Higly recommended for dates too.

Grown-up, Gucci-clad club kids take in soul grooves while lounging on curvy metal furniture at this cool hangout. Wire-mesh curtains, moody red lighting and figurative chalk art create a swanky-cool scene that's perfect for sipping and nibbling. The diverse menu of munchies includes foie gras, crab cakes and apple-stuffed ravioli with smoked chicken and sun-dried tomatoes.

The best food!

The best food! And the portions are exactly right, you can taste several dishes and share with your date without feeling like you're about to explode. The wine list is also pretty decent and the service excelent.
