Best Crappy Hotel

Great place to stay if you're just looking to party in Downtown Chicago. It's close to almost everything and it's cheap. However, this is not a luxury hotel by any means. The rooms/customers/neighborhood are generally creepy. The beds are not comfortable and there is no maid/room service. There is a little restaurant attatched that has cheap breakfast - great for the day after partying.
- Pros: Cheap, Location, Parking
- Cons: Cheap, Sketchy
Basic rooms, basic facilities and less-than-basic service.

The Scene
Do not expect the staff to go out of its way to assist you here. But if you're a sports enthusiast or a family traveling on a budget, this location outweighs the lack of amenities and service. This inn is situated less than one mile from Chicago Place, Michigan Avenue stores and the Water Tower Mall. It is within two miles of Soldier Field, Shedd Aquarium, the Museum of Natural History and Grant Park. Wrigley Field is just five minutes away.
The Details
The white-trimmed windows and brick accents give this facade a clean, pleasant look. Guest rooms are furnished in a standard motel style. Suites have two bedrooms and one bathroom, and sleep up to seven. They include two color TVs, two telephones and family-sized refrigerators. The on-site restaurant serves traditional, all-American HoJo fare.

When you're in Chicago for a big night and just want a place to crash, the Hojo on LaSalle Street is a good option. Within walking distance of some entertainment and dining locations or a $5-10 taxi ride from Lincoln Park.
- Pros: inexpensive, FREE parking, cbd location
- Cons: small rooms, low-end quality-wise
