These windows are meant to be looked at rather than through.. The Windows
Colorful collections from Louis Comfort Tiffany, Frank Lloyd Wright and Louis Sullivan are a few of the well-known artists whose work is displayed in this museum--the first of its kind in the country. You'll see a variety of designs including ornamented, brightly colored Victorian windows and linear and geometric shaped glass of the Prairie School style. Modern and contemporary themes are also featured, including stained glass portraits of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Michael Jordan and a window created from soda pop bottles.

The History
Most of the decorative windows were made between 1870 and the present and come from Chicago churches, public buildings and homes that were rebuilt after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.
