We go here at least once a month...The sushi is amazing and I love the atmosphere. Weekends are insane, but the vibe is great.

Went there for my friend's birthday last weekend and had a blast. Fresh sushi, awesome music and wonderful service. I'll definitely go back soon!

- Cons: What are the drawbacks?
trendy and spectacular place to hang out with fair menu
by munther at Citysearch
I invited my wife to this trendy place on Valentine's day. We both enjoyed the views and the atmosphere. Pretty trendy and inviting place and crowded. Most guests were dressed up especially women as they shined in their cocktail dresses. The drinks were okay but nothing extraordinary. The sushi tasted good but the meal portions were tiny and hence we ordered again. We spent about $146 including valet parking. My feeling is that the menu is limited in its varities and would indeed benefit from new meal ideas. The sushi was prepared in front of our eyes, the chefs were preparing food with their own hands. Although the place seems extraordinary clean, yet I would have loved to see the chefs wearing nylon gloves.
I am sure I will ago again and I still think it was an exceptional experience.
- Pros: Ambience !!
- Cons: Small meal portions
Good Food, Great Atmosphere!
by ladykaos_01 at Citysearch
I loved this place. I went here with some friends from florida. We had a ball. The staff was super sweet (we even got free expressos!). The food was soo yummy. One of my friends and I split the prime rib dinner (to save some money. and calories), and it was mosit and delicious. The portions are good (not too much not too little). You'll definitly leave full. Our waitress was a little dopey, but she was one person. The hostess was great, the bar tender was great, so they made up for her shortcomings. I loved their pacific role! YUM!! The atmosphere was a lil over done, but for tourists it was glittery and trendy. Even though we did have the unfourtunate pleasure of sitting by some girl who had her thong hanging out, the place was still cool. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and will be going back when I save up the money (because please believe this good food is in NO WAY cheap..LOL!!). All in all pretty good.
- Pros: great food, great staff, fun atmosphere
- Cons: weird part of town, ditzy waitress
recommended for the atmosphere....and entertainment
by sleopold at Citysearch
I went here with some friends, it was loud and busy as hell. The sushi was very good, definitely overpriced but nice to try something a little different sometimes. After the dinner they had entertainment...it really was entertaining. I enjoyed it so if you think about the price, think about it, you are getting food and a show...still expensive but again something a little different. I have to agree with a previous review about the A/C...it definitely wasnt on. It was hot and slightly uncomfortable...I still think it was a pretty cool place to check out....like once
- Pros: entertainment, cool scene
- Cons: expensive, hot
Nice bar and atmosphere upstairs!
by ames1 at Citysearch
After years of hearing how great SUSHI SAMBA is I had to check it out with friends that frequent it often. We got in right away and went to the bar upstairs. The bartender was so nice! The crowd was OK, and it was not crowded at all. It was just right! Not too packed and not dead. Great place to have a cocktail and just chill!
- Pros: Great atmosphere and staff!
- Cons: Not the "it" place like it used to be.

Great ambiance. Lots of space and bar areas and beautiful people. Definately a fun place. I haven't really had much on the menu aside from the sushi, which is ok, not amazing. Good drinks. Ok service. I love the lounge on the 3rd floor for late night drinks and sushi.
- Pros: Lots of fun
- Cons: Food and service are good not great
Oh my, this place is loco mi amigos.

The food, the drinks, the decor, the rooftop bar, all top notch. Get the fondue dessert, it alone is worth the trip.
Relaxed loft is a great date
by saub64 at Citysearch
Shushi Samba Rio is a great place to take your girlfriend! Our host was very inviting, like he was glad we came, and suggested the loft for us. We took the elevator upstairs on a beautiful summer Thursday evening. The loft is very open with couch-like seating, and large, open windows. The bar upstairs is well-well stocked with interesting and unique spirits. We orded 2 specialty fusion rolls at about $15 a piece, and one standard California roll for a little cheaper. This might not be the best sushi in the world, and the fusion dishes won't please gourmet purists, but it was enjoyable at the least. She had a delicious mixed drink which was quite pricey at $9, but it was strong, and made with top-shelf rum (10 Cane). All in all, dinner was a great time, music was at a volume which was enjoyable, but allowed conversation. Good looking crowd...can't wait to bring friends there next time!
- Pros: Service, atmosphere, drinks
- Cons: The type of fusion sushi isn't for everybody, but it was for me!
