Doctors are ok TERRIBLE STAFF not worth it

I've been here several times getting tested for a medication adjustment. One time a small child was crying the entire time, saying "I want my skin back". I don't know what that was about but it was disturbing.

Every time I talk to the staff on the phone, it is someone else and they don't know what I'm talking about. They don't leave each other notes that are detailed enough to keep up with messages.

After one appointment I tried to check to see if I owed them any money at the front desk, and they told me to come back because they didn't know how to do that. I tried to be extremely polite, even deferential to their medical powers, but they were always condescending and dismissive.

The latest fiasco is that I received a prescription for the wrong dosage and did not notice it until I got home. I have been trying all week, calling, going in person, and they just keep either messing up my request or blowing me off explicitly. They also would not let me see the doctor for even 5 minutes to explain the situation when I was just there in person. This is for a thyroid medication, not a controlled substance (or something that would be fun to take under any circumstance.) I finally blew up today and left in an embarrassing huff, which is not normal behavior for me. Still, I think it was for the best. I would rather go back to my old doctor, although I'll have to drive an hour to the suburbs and get a dosage test AGAIN . I can't believe I trusted these people with my health.

The sad part is, the doctor I saw was not bad. I am not sure if she knows how poorly this office is being run.

Great Care

I have been ill for several weeks and then my insurance changed! My Doctor was not taking my insurance and I had to find another Doctor I picked this group because this was a group of Doctors that has been around for a long time and a friend had been seeing one of the Doctors for a long time said that she really liked them. My new Doctor ordered tests and before long found out was wrong and I was successfully treated. Everyone was really helpful and the staff really cared!

sufficient medical care, terrible environment

Newly arrived in Chicago, my children got sick and needed to see a pediatrician. I asked the pharmacist for a recommendation and they suggest Dr. Ochs. We ended up seeing a pleasant enough female pediatrician who did an acceptable job examining and taking care of my children, except that she didn't wash her hands at any point during the visit. The turn offs included the stale upchuck on the 2nd level of the stairwell for the parking structure, the graffiti marked and smoke filled elevators and the impersonal manner by which they call you to be seen by the doctor. They shout your name out across the large waiting area and loudly indicate which aisle and room number you should walk to and wait for someone to see you. I felt like we should be branded with a number in the process...

Not only could we not figure out which room to go to since there was no guide, but all the doors to offices and exam rooms were wide open which is unacceptable (as far as I'm concerned) in regards to security and patient confidentiality.
