I'm kicking myself for not trying Octagon sooner. Natalie was *awesome.* I brought my magazine picture that I always bring when I try a new salon, and she suggested something that would look better on me. It turned out beautifully, and I'm stoked for my husband to see me when he gets home from work! I actually look my age again for the first time in *forever.* I have naturally curly hair, and after having it cut at a chain establishment (I looked like a poodle for months) I was scared to go anywhere but my trusted Aveda salon in Michigan. I'm planning to return to her for purple extension bits (which she suggested when I told her I bought manic panic after seeing the Cure) so we'll see how that comes out. I *highly* recommend Natalie for anyone with curls who needs an updated look.

I got hair extensions and Vicki and Kira did an amazing job! No one could tell that they weren't real, and sometimes I forgot that it wasn't my real hair!!! The color and cut I got after I got them removed is absolutely gorgeous! Vicki and Kira are amazing!! I recommend this place to everyone and anyone!!!

I'm a regular, seeing Vicky and Kira. Awesome haircuts, very creative! A bit pricy but it's well worth it!

I moved from the Gurnee area couple years ago and have not been able to find anyone who can color my hair as good as Vicki used to. I can't wait until I can plan a trip back there to see her again. I was also there for a spa day before my wedding (manicure, pedicure, massage) and they really know how to take care of you. I recommend Octagon to anyone looking for a great cut/color and more.

I would like to comment on the great & professional service I've received from Vicki Millard at the Octagon Salon. Vicki is a very talented hair stylist , who enhances the fine reputation of the Octagon business & it's years of excellant service. She will go out of her way to accommodate me as her client, find the right color and style to suit my personal apprearance & will always discuss new or unique products to ensure a healthy hair or skin. She will go above and beyond to achieve the best for me. I always leave feeling happier because of my improved appearance and special treatment.

Gentlemen, if you need to get your haircut or want to change your style, Octagon is the place to go. Not only can they take care of your hairstyle but they also have a fantastic full service spa. Sarah has been taking care of me for about 6 months and has done a great job working with me to create just the style I’m looking for. If you want the best, ask for Sarah!!!

I've been visiting the Octagon Spa for several years now and I always ask for Vicki. I've checked out other Salons now and then because I'm a woman and that's what we do, right? But I always end up going back to Vicki because I can be assured a fantastic cut every time. Along with great cuts, she is the only one I trust for perfect highlights and color. Both Vicki and her assistant Kira are friendly and cheerful. Since the outside walls are all windows, the Octagon is bright and sunny. The receptionists are consistently friendly, too. I always find myself in a much better mood after a trip to the Octagon!

Pros: Consistently awesome cuts/color. Beautiful, relaxing atmosphere!

Cons: NONE!

I was referred to Vicki and Kira by a good friend (with straight hair) and decided to give them a try. I have now gotten two fabulous haircuts and my crazy curly hair looks great. I would recommend them to anyone, they are both professional, nice, and give you the cut you want. They're wonderful!

I have been going to the Octagon Spa and Salon for many, many years. I have had spa experiences at Octagon, all of which have been outstanding. The last time I had a massage, I left feeling wonderful, without having to pay North Shore prices. The staff is friendly, polite and always makes me feel welcome. The shop is impressive and one needs to commend Janelle for the frequent changes she has made to ensure that it is always at its best, not only for her customers, but also for her staff and I love the charming gift ideas she has for purchase throughout the year. Jancey has been doing my hair for the last several years, and I have been extremely pleased with her skill and her friendly conversation. She is a very talented, patient, understanding, and creative individual. My positive experience had led to my entire family (husband and two adult children) to having their hair done by Jancey, as well as other salon services. I would highly recommend Octagon and Jancey to anyone looking for a new salon and stylist.
