okay services, but overpriced
by northshore80 at Citysearch
i went to the spa to get a facial a month ago, and my face has actually broken since and not gone back to normal. the atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly. i would probably wouldn't come back here, it is way overpriced, i'd rather go to a more upscale spa where i'd be paying the same amount.
- Pros: good parking
- Cons: expensive
Burnt Hair

I took my daughter for hair cut, she got nice hair cut but when they used flat iron, left her a very big bold spot on her scalp. It is huge and she is has to keep covring it.
WAY OVERPRICED for the less than mediocre service

I went in for a highlight touch-up and a trip. I was literally in the salon for less than hour and it cost $150 not including tip. She only did a touch-up on my highlights, and the trip was literally 5 minutes, and no hair-dry. $150.
I'm so disappointed that I didn't know that before. I've paid that much in Denver for a lowlight/highlight combination, a great cut, and dry/straightening, but this was not the same. This was hardly HARDLY worth the money, and I would never go back. Is the North Shore really that overpriced? Unbelieveable.
I also found it difficult to schedule the appointment. The front desk was confused about booking a color and hair cut back to back. I didn't want to have a long wait in between appointments. Overall, the haircut was fine, and I was reasonably satisfied with the work, but terribly shocked with the overall price. I will not go back there again.

Haircuts, manicures, pedicures, makeup application, waxing, peels, and facials are among the treatments offered at this north suburban salon/spa.
Mediocre service for high prices

I bought my mother a Bliss gift certificate for a facial & massage. I went with her for a facial too. My mother commented that the massage was good but the facial was definitely not worth the price. I couldn't agree more.
Most spas offer facials w/ extractions, at Bliss they aren't very thorough & didn't take their time. When the aesthetician put a mask on my face or cleaned it, certain areas of my face were neglected. Facials there start from $90,I've gone to more upscale spas with better service/lower prices. The worst part: days after our facials we had a couple pimples form (our skin is normally clear). I visited many spas & this has never happened to me before.
Maybe some of the spas services at Bliss might be worth it but save your money on the facial and get it somewhere else for a better price.
