Stay Away

Horan's Snug leaves a lot to be desired! Not only is the atmosphere lacking, the service is slow, food ok, hardly what you would call an Irish Pub. We recenly dined there and the warm food was cold, children's menu is the same price as the adult menu, soup and salad were not brought out until after we received our dinner, charged different from menu price and cheated us on the coupon. We were planning on using an Entertainment coupon that stated buy one lunch or dinner, get one free. We purchased two dinners and one hot dog for our child. When we recieved our bill, the waitress said that the manager would only take off the 5.00 hot dog. There are many places on Madison Street. Walk a few doors down and you'll find a much better place.

New menu makes a big difference.

I lived in Forest Park for a few years and made Horan's my regular hang out. I went back to Forest Park for a visit recently and stopped in for a pint. The menu is wonderful, and still really reasonably priced. You can get a great burger with homemade soup, bread, and a beer for under $8!
- Pros: Great place to sit and feel like you're welcomed.
- Cons: When it gets crowded it is difficult to get served

New To You

If you haven't been in Horan's lately, you must check it out. Newly remodled keeping the old charm while creating a more open and inviting bar area. If you are new to the area, it is a very friendly bar where after a couple times being there you will feel like you are among old friends. If you are planning a Saturday night out with friends, start out by eating in "The Best Beer Garden On Madison" (be sure to ask for Annie) then move inside to get your song on, with the largest selection of Karoake Forest Park has to offer. The "New" Horan's is definetly worth checking out.

A Great Place!

This place is just an all-around great pub. It has a nice warm atmosphere inside and in the summer they have a wonderful beer garden outside. The bartenders and waitstaff are very friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and kids are even welcome during lunch/dinner hours. Plus on Saturday nights they have karaoke! This is a place I definitely frequent and recommend to everyone.
