Lost the focus

Sadly this bar is beautiful, but does not care to cater to locals. It instead caters to certain ethnic groups only. It's clearly not a gay bar anymore and is apparently straight, but has a less than desirable clientele. Such a disappointment. Place has much potential, but refuses to be a suburban night club catering to locals. Also just driving by, the clientele looks shady & undesirable. The couple times trying out the club, and as a result of the club's lack of diversity and catering to only certain ethnic groups at times, never felt welcomed. Felt "segregated" at best. Unwelcomed. Too bad so much potential and not catering at all to locals with bands or dance music or locals wishes. Believe this place is a tax write off for the owner...save your $8 for a shot of liquor here and buy 2 beers somewhere else locally with others that make you feel welcome.

• Pros: Interior is beautiful, owner? owners? are nice.
• Cons: price and the class of people that seem to frequent the establishment

THE NEW CLUB VIP . . . NEW FORMAT AND REMARKS LIKE CHICKY MADE ARE FALSE.

Hey youd think if you saw a third party take your card you would A: call the authorities and B: call the bank, they have 24 fraud departments you know. Anyways CLUB VIP is formerly know as Temptaions. It is under new management now and is being re-formatted so yes there are some very disgruntled people out there. And I can understand. Unfortunately from a business point of view if the money is not there you have to change with the times. CLUB VIP is NOT a strip club, currently there are promoters bringing in parties on friday's and saturdays. A resident karaoke host has just started and is great. He does karaoke on thursday and sunday nights! He actually utilizes the stage and makes you feel like your a star performing on stage and the sound is GREAT! There are cool lights all over the place. If you like KARAOKE definetly check this place out. THE CLUB IS OPEN TO ALL!!!! Matter of fact a couple women that used to frequent it as temptations said they had a good time! CLUB VIP is planning a steady schedule of events hopefully to be open 6 days a week! I highly suggest if you live in the near west burbs come out and start supporting this place because it is going to take off real soon. And there definetly is no place like it for miles in this area. Has a definite night club atmosphere and so far Ive seen great and freindly people going there! So check it out! If i remember correctly KARAOKE NITELIFE hosted one of thier contests ther ea few years back because of the set-up there!

The bar staff is excellent and there are really good drink specials nightly.

• Pros: Great potential and, the re-formatting is going to be great for the west burbs people!
• Cons: That kitchen needs to be open for food!!!! Also cater to the sports crowd!!!!

Correction

Club VIP, formerly Temptations, is now a straight bar, but the clientele is still diverse. A lot of the girls that use to come in there still do and are welcome. It is NOT though a strip club. They offer now Thursday night karaoke, Fridays and Saturdays events vary, call for details, Sunday nights, have every other Sunday Karaoke as well.

I think you will pleased if you stop in. I personally am new to the place and really enjoy it and the people.

The only drawback I can see is I would think a food menu would be helpful.

• Pros: Sheer size of the place, parking, location and staff, variety of liquors, vip rooms, nice dance floor, great music, atmospere
• Cons: Weekend events vary too much, needs a more solid consistent crowd aka familiar faces or "regulars", and sometimes super busy or quiet. No medium.

Lesbian night tonight, May 17th, 2008!

Their new name is Club VIP, since they turned it into a strip club. BUT... tonight, May 17th, 2008, they are having Lesbian night! A Temptations Reunion, they are calling it. They are going to have DJ Suave, and $5 drink specials too. How awesome is that!

• Cons: After tonight, it will go back to a strip club.

DO NOT TRUST THIS ESTABLISHMENT. THEY OVERCHARGE AND THE WORKERS STOLE MY CREDIT CARD AND COMMITED FRAUD. DO NOT TRUST THIS BAR. I PERSONALLY SAW THEM PASS MY CARD TO A THIRD PARTY THAT DID NOT WORK THERE AND THEN MORE CHARGES WERE MADE TO MY ACCOUNT THAN WERE APPROVED. THIEVES, THIEVES, THIEVES.

Best place to try something new...

Temptations is very much the place to be, if you want to get away and do something new, have a blast or just go hang out with some one or even on your own, you could never go wrong, I enjoy there fridays very much female dancers night its really a must see. Saturdays are the best, awasome, Dj takes requests, and you can even have your birthday party there, I know I am soon to come. The worker are very kind and always happy to see a new face as well as the owner of the place, and the manager I tell you she may be small, but very energetic and out going. really you do have to try it, every one has there own opinion yes, but if you don't try it who's to say, I gave it a go and have not stoped going and trust me I have not been going there for that long, but I made sure I started my new year there. Give it a try you will see. We all have to try something once or maybe twice befor we can say

• Cons: yes its a drive depending were you live, but so worth it...

Best Bartendars

Over priced weak drinks. Outdated DJ, Not enough warmth or good karma to keep the spirts alive. leaves you feeling cold. Great size dance floor but not enough gimmic to keep you coming back. To bad because of the limited places for women to enjoy each others company in the burbs.

Tempatations is a beautiful dance club for women of all ages, but the Dj needs to be more diverse in making music choices so that maybe more women would choose to stay a little while longer.

• Pros: Good decor, Free parking, Pretty women
• Cons: Poor music, Poor DJ
