LOVE...LOVE...LOVE THIS SHOP!

We LOVE this place! They have SO many fun and unique things here for our pooch or kitty. The owners and staff are WONDERFUL! If they don't have something you are looking for, they are quick to order it for you or tell you where to get it. We go out of our way to visit this store and always find something that our dog LOVES! The girl owners are local and work the store themslves. They put in a lot of hours and hard work to make this place unique. You have got to go for a visit!!!!!

• Cons: Parking...be very careful and DO NOT to park in the empty lot next to the store!

Great and friendly place

I love 4-Legs! Everyone here is friendly and helpful. They really care about pets and give you lots of guidance, and it's not about the sale. I come from far away to support them, as they support me. And of course, the store is beautiful and full of wonderful food, treats and accessories, plus lots of other items (toys, cards, beds, etc.). This is the kind of place where we should all shop.

A truly animal-friendly neighborhod pet store

What a wonderful store! Not only does 4 Legs not sell animals--it rescues them! Dori and Leslie and their employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and committed to pet adoption. They have been so helpful in assisting me with finding homes for some of my rescued dogs. The store has a complete line of excellent pet foods, toys, treats, and accessories, and when you buy here, you're supporting a neighborhood business, not a giant corporation, that responds to neighborhood needs. The absolute BEST! Check them out and bring your doggie with you! My dogs love this store--they enjoy browsing the treat bins!

Great Service & Premium Products

4 Legs has wonderful employees who are always smiling & happy to see my pup. They're very helpful and knowledgeable about the products they offer, which are typically the best around. Only complaint is no prices on most items, so you have to ask how much things are and it's not cheap. If you want the best for your cat or dog, they've got it though....and they'll greet you with a smile & a dog treat every time!

Best Pet Friendly [Dog AND Cat] Neighborhood Shop in Chicago !

4 Legs is my FAVE pet shop... i actually go out of my way to support this store that gives so much back to the community aside from serving up it's clients some of the cutest, healthiest pet products around town !

Dori & Leslie - the owners are very knowledgeable and will give you samples and can order anything special -- definitely top notch service with smiles...always. Great prices and well involved in pet organizations around town that help find homeless pets new families. Highly recommend !!!

Are prices right?

Four legs could be a very nice boutique pet store, except that their prices are not right and the owner is opaque about what they have and do not have.

I need to get off work early to go get the supplies. I called 4 Legs three times, asking about how much various products cost, as I was considering switching products. Each time, she said she did not know on top of her head and did not bother to check and just hung up. When I last called, she was accusing me of calling again and again about prices. I would not need to if I were just given a quote!

On top of that, after I got her quotes finally, I called around for a couple of other boutique pet shops on the north side. Her prices were not right. She was claiming a 20% discount from the others, except that I am willing to bet when you do go to her store, the prices that ring up are higher. Four legs is cute, but not cheap. I used to shop there about once a month. I will not go back there again. There are other premium pet stores on the north side that provide better business.

• Pros: Good selection of premium pet supplies
• Cons: High prices; owner does not know how to run an efficient business.

In addition to premium grade pet food and treats, this boutique sells essentials like carriers, collars, leashes and toys as well as fancy pet accessories like outerwear, colorful ceramic bowls and fluffy beds. Seasonal items like holiday gifts, booties, life jackets and beach toys are also available. Of course, Fido and Fifi are always welcome in the store to do their own browsing.

This cute little store stocks great gifts for pets or "parents" of pets. Unique food/water bowls, pet treats, clothes, carriers and accessories plus essentials like collars and leashes are available. The people are so friendly and pets are welcome in the store.
