Best animal clinic in the south suburbs!!
by Michele369
There is no comparison to Flossmoor Animal Hospital, the staff is totally professional and they have a high regard of treating pets with the upmost respect. They are very patient and courteous. I have a poodle whom I took there for grooming, he was badly matted and when I picked him up he looked like a award winning show dog. I am very pleased with the vets there and the clinic overall. They will take the time to sit with you and explain everything in detail, once you leave there you feel so elated knowing that your pet was seen by a vet who cares. I've been to other animal clinics in the neighborhood and no one compares to them.
Worth the drive - even if you live in the city

Previously took my two labs to Roscoe Village Animal Hospital. Terrible! Even had the nerve to set an appointment then call twice to cancel on me with less than 24 hrs notice because they scheduled it over the doctor's lunch break. Please!
Dr. Rachael is hands down one of the best vets we've seen and I had a pretty darn good vet when I lived in a different state. She totally understands the compassion and care necessary to do not just a good job but a great job. She took the time to thoroughly examine my guy, explain everything to me in words I can understand, and just knows what it means to treat each client like her only client. We left very satisfied with our experience and her prices were better than what we paid a RVAH to boot!
I can't say enough good things about this practice and it's totally worth the drive, even if you live in the city.
- Pros: Caring & compassionate doctor; explains everything to you in words you understand
- Cons: None
Best Vet in the South Suburbs
by RTO
I completely agree with the other favourable reviews of Flossmoor Animimal Hospital. These folks are professional and compassionate. The doctors and staff treat my pets (two cats and two dogs) as if they were their own. I had a fantastic vet while I lived on the north side of Chicago (Broadway Animal Hospital) and I really feared that I would not be able to match the quality of care once I'd bought my home in the south suburbs. I first tried a vet in Orland Park. They were just awful. Then a friend recommended Flossmoor Animal Hospital. The difference was like night and day. These folks are just the best!!!
- Pros: Professional, compassionate, quality pet care.
- Cons: The office/front desk staff can sometimes be a little curt. However, this does not detract from the wonderful care and attention provided by the veterinary staff.
Best Vets Ever!

Sorry I am biased here I have three cats and all of them rescues. My boy (boo) was having serious problems with crystals etc when we got him and it was a really bad time for him. Rachael had him taken care of permanently in only 3 rush visits (my fault) He would seem fine and we would take him home after she did the procedure only to have him relapse in the next week or so due to his diet. She recommended a change and he has been wonderful and happy ever since. This is only one example of the caring and taking the time to really know their patients here. I cannot ever say enough good about Flossmoor animal hospital. If you are ever in need they are definitely the place to go !
- Pros: Service Caring and Knowledge
- Cons: not open 24 hours so should an emergency occur I can't go to the people I trust most in this world with my animals.
The Best of the Best

I have worked at Flossmoor Animal Hospital and can say from my own experience that you cannot find better care. Dr Rauch is a friendly hardworking doctor as well as Dr Willard and Dr R. Willard who are not only phenomenal vets but phenomenal caring people.
