Awesome food, awesome price!

Tierra Caliente is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone. No matter how far the travel, it's worth the distance. Wonderful people greet you upon entering. It is a quaint restaurant with a great juke box! The food is authentic, delicious and so reasonably priced. There is something on the menu for everyone. I highly recommend Tierra Caliente to anyone and everyone; I can promise you it will be a one of a kind experience.

First got introduced to Tierra Caliente a year ago, and have been raving since. Great family place- nicest people ever. Real authentic food. Two thumbs up in my book!

Best Mexican food in Chicago! Everything on the menu is great and the owner is very personable and friendly. They also have an amazing catering service. I've been visiting TC for years and am never disappointed.

Best Mexican Food in Chicago

I was introduced to Tierra Caliente when I was a teenager now over 10 years later I still frequent the restaurant. The service is outstanding and they really make you feel at home. The food is some of the best Mexican food I have ever had in my life. Regardless if I'm in the neighborhood or not I make it a point to make a trip there for dinner or lunch to get my fill. One other great thing is they cater food which I have used for birthday parties and graduation and everyone at the party just raved at the food. I highly suggest stopping by you won't regret it.

Best Mexican food is the U.S..

I just have to say that I've eaten alot of Mexican food through my years,but when I came here one evening with my wife, I was amazed with the outstanding taste,service and above all.....the owner comes to you and asks "Can I suggest something?" (maybe something new on the menu or something you never had tried) and "how is everything?" with a willing to help you to have the upmost positive atmosphere and dining experience. I usually have the same food ordered everytime I eat-out,but not there. Thanks of suggesting and even sampeling of diffrent foods which helps me experience the diffrent foods I've never eaten before and needless to say....may have never had! I Strongly advise anybody who want outstanding food,service and an owner who truely cares how everything is served to his customers to come enjoy a dining experience that will make you come again and again.

Best Mexican Food - great customer service

Very authethic Mexican food. Great every day Mexican food; burritos, tacos, tostadas and even great goritadas (pita like shaped) & sopes. The fillings range from like beef tongue, pork , beef, chicken and for the vegans their are endless options like cactus, avacado, poblano chile for example. They even have a kid's menu, mini everything. I've even catered from them and they thought of everything for the every occasion celebration, I've had. They supply everything utensils, candles, I don't worry about food for my parties. I have had carnitas, thier pork in red sauce (mmmm) and their house special steak in green sauce, it is soooo tasty . It is a little spicy not over powering, made with chipotle chiles, it is making my mouth watering. You just got to try them. Service is great too, the owner makes sure everyone gets what they ask for.

• Cons: not sure where to park but they share a lot on the west side of the building.

Hidden True Mexican food gem in the south side of Chicago

My Visit to Tierra Caliente was a pleasant surprise. I was turned on to Tierra Caliente by a co-worker .His words ?If you ever want to have a True Mexican experience in Chicago try Tierra Caliente .He was not wrong the food is GREAT!!d I now consider myself a customer for life. Give it a try you will not regret it .
