I dont know what happened

When this place first opened, there was great food, at a reasonable price, great wine and drinks and it was just fun to go here.

Now... Well wow, the food is just plain bad... Sorry guys i don't know what happened.

I ordered Duck Confit... What i got was (I kid you not) A deep fried chicken wing, with absolutely no meat on it and no flavor...Sorry guys

• Cons: Food is bland, overcooked, tastless, garbage... Now

I live in another state, and travel to Chicago to visit a good friend of mine regularly. Cafe Suron is always on the agenda when I come to town! The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful and relaxing, service is always wonderful, and the food is amazing. :) The setting is perfect for good friends, a first date, an anniversary, etc. I keep trying to find a good Persian place close to home, but until I do- it's trips up to Chicago to visit Suron! :)

Conversation buzzes at this eclectic outpost decorated with paintings on apricot-hued walls. Tons of appetizers make for good grazing, including diced tomato salad, grilled quail served on a bed of spinach, garlic and olive oil and seasoned eggplant dip with caramelized onions, whey and mint. Entrees run the gamut from seasoned ground tenderloin grilled on skewers to pan-fried Hawaiian tilapia crusted with panko breadcrumbs, horseradish and basil.

Great friendly atmosphere, great food, friendly staff, only con - wished there were more dessert selections. Great place for a romantic meal/date or just a nice quiet dinner.
