I've been going to Secrets off and on for about 8 years. I agree the clientele has fallen off. The club industry is so hard that alot of times the club has to lower it's entry standards to stay afloat. We saw the same thing happen to The Clique (E2)a few years back. The only hangup I have with Secrets that you can't stand at the bar and drink (which was brought up by another reviewer). But, any "large" club that you go to in the Chicago area has similiar rules. Overall though, Secrets is still one of the better clubs to go to in the South Suburbs. Pros 1. Parking-free, relatively safe parking across the street 2. Cover-$10 for guys, $5 for ladies b4 11pm 3. Space-Nice size dance floor, 2 bars (although standing at the bar is issue.) 4. Easy access (a few blocks away from for 145th street exit of the Bishop Ford E-Way) Cons 1. Entry standards lowered (see guys with gym shoes and shorts) 2. VIP access is like trying to break into the World Bank 3. On Friday and Saturday nights you will be hard press to find a place to stand, because it is so crowded. 4. Drink prices have increased (average around $6.50-$7)

well i go to secrets on thursdays and saturday and both days be crackin..i prefer thursday cause it's good deals on the drinks that day. the bouncers do be a little 'oc' but i think it be caused for because it be so packed the place need order, the bartenders cool they gone tell you the specials so you don't spend all yo money in the club..but they do need more seats in the place you kind of forced to go to vip to get a good seat..which ain't much money..but over all it's a pretty decent club.

Pros: deals on drinks, admission

Secrets is a very nice club. The best thing about it is the DJ. They play a mixture of music so that everyone is satisfied. The drinks are very good. The best Blue MotherFuckers in the world!!! The bouncers are a little aggressive but I guess it's for good cause. They try to keep people from blocking the walkways which is OK I guess. The only real problem I have with this place is the seating. Typically, women get there early on Thursdays because it's free before 10. Even with only a few women there before 10, there is little to no seating. I would most definitely recommend this place. They have very good VIP. They offer flowers and teddy bears to the women and have a photographer. I really like this place. Nice crowd. Pretty well mannered. Lots of parking across the street for free. I love it. Great scene for singles.

Pros: Good music, Decent prices, Nice staff, Great Bartenders, Good parking, Good security

I am a club Goer. I am 28 , been partying since i was 17 at THE CLIQUE (now known as E2, epitome) i also work in the nightclub industry. Secrets was a good place when i was younger. you had to dress up, no jeans, gym shoes you got frisked at the door but it elimnated shootings and such. recently it has gotten EXTREMELY Ignorant. The crowd from MR. RICKYS has gotten into secrets which is not good. the men pull on you, talk to you any kind of way. As far as the music. Its good. They mix it up from r and b, steppin, a lil bit of rap. My ill Rwview is of the Bouncers, how they treat you and How the club rules are rather idiotic. I went to secrets last night (april 21, 2007) and i try not to gout south on Saturday because the mental status is very poor of some of these people. but i went, , hadnt been in over a year to secrets. I walk in, get frisked, pay the 10 entry fee, proceed to the b ar ( noone was on the dance floor even though it was 11:15) I bought a Long Island, drank it, ordered an Apple martini, drank it and the bouncer came and said YOU GOTTA GO YOU CANT DRINK AT THE BAR......? What in the world!!!!!!!!!! He asked a paying customer to leave the club or leave the bar. I was shocked. So I asked to speak to the manager. Of course they were nowhere to be found. So I left and vowed Never to return. Secrets is Overrated, For the ill dressed, and senseless.

I used to go long ago every Thursday night. The ladies get in free and drinks were a dollar. I went again last year for my frined's birthday on Saturday and we juked it out all night long. I am into the process of seeing if I can reserve the VIP section for my birthday. I always have a good time.

I go on Sundays for the house music and I alway have a good time because the crowd and the atmosphere on Sundays is laid back. I prefer a club scene like that and it is always free before 11:00pm

I've visited the club on Thursdays and Saturdays. A nice music selection if you're into R & B and Hip Hop. The music never stops along with the dancing and good times that follow. Thursdays is ladies night and for the ladies that means free admission and to the guys you know where the ladies are at and the place stays packed full of honies. Overall I must say I've enjoyed all my visits to the club and would recomend it to any one looking to enjoy a nice evening out dancing and have a good time.

Pros: Parking, Club Setting, Staff

I have been to secrets on thursday. I did not like it because I do not like R and B music. Sunday nightsis great. It is a slightly older crowd. I have to do nothing but dance and enjoy the house music.

Pros: great house on sunday

Cons: house only sunday

As if the 50 yard line in Harvey wasn't bad enough, we now have this place! Anywhere you have to be frisked to get in, I don't want any part of. They should be more concerned about IDing some of these "women", some of them couldn't have been anymore than 17! YUK!

Cons: Ghetto Fab!
