Always Good

Fantastic Food! Great Service! This is such a fantastic place to sit down and have some great Asian style food.
They so not serve alcohol nor do they offer BYOB but they do have some interesting beverages besides soda and water like Thai iced tea and Thai coffee all vegan style. You could easily take a meat-eater to dinner here and they would never know that all of the dishes are prepared vegan. Parking is easy right on the street and normally there is no wait for service.
- Pros: Good Food, Easy Parking. Affordable, No Wait
- Cons: No Alcohol, No BYOB
amazing fake meat; healthy

This is my favorite restaurant in Chicago. My husband and I love the Korean BBQ, un-chicken drumsticks (better than chicken) , yakisoba, bibimbop, and the ladyfingers. The mung bean pancakes are not consistent so pass on those; sometimes they are too thick and mushy. Dont bother with the salads they are boring. But, the un-meat is the best and tastiest anywhere. I have never been to a restaurant like this in any city. Berkeley, CA has a chinese vegetarian place w/ fake meat but this is much better. The service is ok, can be spotty, but its small enough they dont forget you. We always get a seat on weekends although never waited more than 15 minutes.
Love it!
- Pros: great fake meat, delicious flavors, cozy restaurant.
- Cons: somewhat pricey
Love it!

I love this place! Everything is very tasty. I try to be vegetarian, but often fall off the wagon. If I could eat at Alice's everyday, I'd have no problem maintaining it. I consider this gourmet vegetarian, at non-gourmet prices (usually under $10 for an entree). It's better than Zen Palete in NYC, for those of you who know those restaurants. Service used to be slow, but has improved.
- Pros: great food, great prices
- Cons: can be busy
Very Inventive Food

Not your typical vegetarian restaurant. Their mock meats are delicious and should satisfy both vegetarians and meat eaters. The place is a bit quirky, but if you have an open mind and enjoy dining in less commercial environments, this is for you! Really like the Kabobs and the Korean BBQ.
Korean, Chinese and Japanese flavors draw vegetarians to this Edgewater spot.

In Short
Heavy curtains, wicker chairs and an abundance of potted plants decorate this two-room restaurant, where diners nosh on Asian-inspired vegetarian and vegan dishes. Hearty entrees such as the "unchicken teriyaki" and the "unbeef kebobs" use faux-meat products like soy. Others utilize a wide variety of vegetables for stir-fry and tofu meals. A selection of non-alcoholic drinks, such as a green-tea shake and jujube tea, is also available.
Quaint, romantic

Like dining in a small town B &B. Romantic, relaxing, and welcoming. The food was delicious and even meat-eaters will be pleased. Authentic Asian food and many specialy plates & drinks you won't find anywhere else.
