Better than Botox!. Getting your eyebrows done by Tina is better than a facelift! She is amazing. Tina is Chicago's best kept secert. I have not found anyone this good at eyebrows since I lived in London. The Peninsula Spa is one of the best city spas in the country. The service and attention to detail is flawless, the staff well trained and responsive and the ambience pleasant and soothing. In addition the Spa draws on the Peninsula hotel so that they can accomodate any special need - diet, baby-sitting, reservations, quick suit press, send a fax - whatever.

Awesome Service, Beautiful Spa. This was my first time getting a massage at Peninsula by ESPA. It was awesome. My massage therapist, Donald, was really something else. He discussed with me prior to the massage on what we should really work on. I was feeling really stressed and tired, but all that went away after my hour with him. He had suggested Aromatherapy mixed with a little deep tissue for my back. It really made me feel really relieved afterward. Before the massage, I got to relax in their lounge area and even take a steam. Everyone was very friendly and I can't wait to go back!

Best Spa in Chicago!. Let me just start off by saying that I am a spa junkie. I have been to practically every spa in Chicago and I would definitely vot The Peninsula Spa #1. From the moment you step out of the elevator you feel like you are in another world. Whenever I am there I am greeted by happy smiling faces and receive the greatest customer service.

I recently had a 90 minute Aromatherapy massage with Andrea and a manicure with Mylinh. Both services were completely five star. I think my favorite part of this spa is their relaxation lounge. They have these amazing reclining beds that make you not want to leave. My massage was completely relaxing. As I tell everyone, you must do ninety minutes. Sixty minutes just does not cut it anymore! My manicure was top notch as well. I love all of the ESPA products they use. I was surprised to learn they are the only vendor that carries them in Chicago.

As always I only have great things to say about this place. I wish I could come here every day!

Best spa in Chicago. I have been to this spa twice, and both times were just fantastic. I have been to about 8 different spas in the Chicago area as well as a few others around the world, so I have a good feeling for what it should be like. For a Hotel Spa and being in the City, this is about as good as it can get.

My treatments were a while ago, but I recommend my first massage, an Uplifting Mint Ceremony. It was heaven!

Depends on technician!. I went to the Peninsula twice for a facial and reflexology. I had Erin and she was amazing! I have sensitive skin and she ensured that I would not have adverse results by testing two products in small patches. Only then did she apply the products. She was super sweet and took her time. Next time I went, Erin was booked, so I got Isabelle.I explained to her about my skin and what Erin had done. She acted irritated and impatient and said that she did not have the time to do all that and its not what she does. She then acted quite rude and gave me attitude the whole time. Anyways, lesson learned. Avoid Isabelle and go to Erin!

Best spa in Chicago. I had the most amazing experience at the Peninsula Spa. The entire spa staff was extremely helpful and made my experience one I will not forget. I had the Ama Releasing Massage. I am a seasoned spa goer and it was so refreshing to find a spa that actually has services that I have never received. The facility was beautiful and they truely paid attention to every detail. I live in Chicago and will definitely be back! Amazing spa!!!

TECHNICIAN TEXTING WHILE GIVING REFLEXOLOGY. Where do I begin? I went to this spa for my 30th birthday for a facial and reflexology. While Shanna was giving me reflexology she sat at the bottom by my feet texting on her phone. When I tried to sit up she hid the phone and claimed it was a timer. I complained to the manager and did get a gift certificate, but upon return months later found out Shanna is still working here. At $155 for reflexology is it unreasonable to ask that the technician put her phone down? I've never heard of this before! When I went back the girls up front were so stupid they charged me 11% sales tax on an item I bought. This spa is very pricey, but filled with complete idiots who make what should be a nice, relaxing experience, completely miserable. Relaxing at home would be nicer than ever entering this spa again! Avoid it.

Not a guest out of luck.. Lame. Called to make a reservation for the weekend spa and was told that the spa was only open "to the public" M-Thursday. They really should note that on the website and citysearch should note it as well. If you are a not a guest tough luck.

Good technician, but broke out from products. I have gone to this spa everytime I'm in Chicago and have loved it. Great service and ambiance. I hadn't been there in awhile, but went in for a facial. Apparently, they switched skin care lines from the last time I had been in and and I tried a Brightening Facial. The esthetician was wonderful and I was very relaxed. Unfortunately, I experienced a horrible reaction from something in the products. Sad, because I never had this happen at previous visits.
