Pizza recipe has not changed since the 1940's How great it is to have that same taste, and be reminded of growing up around 63rd st back in the day! Sadly for me I'm out in California and can only get my pizza fix once in while, when I visit.

We love eating at Joe's Italian Villa - and having their food delivered, as well. We enjoy their pizza and lasagna! The people that work there - make it! They really are good folks.
- Pros: convenient, great service, nice people
- Cons: busy shopping center
Best Pizza Ever!

Joe's is definitely one of my favorite restaurants. My family has been going there since my mom and her siblings were little. I always take my girlfriend there when she is in town, and we always get a large cheese pizza, a side of fries, and a pitcher of Pepsi. Everything is always excellent. Their sodas are very syrupy and full of flavor. I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for great food and service. My only regret is that they don't sell the cool tie-dyed shirts that the waitresses wear.
Best Pizza I have ever had hands down

During the more then 7 and ? years that I served in the Navy and the places that I have traveled since I have had Pizza in just about all of them. I can assure you that I have eaten more then my fair share of Pizza and I can only say that hands down Joe?s Italian Villa Pizza is the best. While some people may have had other items from their menu all I can speak about is the Pizza because I do not go into a PIZZA Place for chicken. So I don?t know if it is good or not my Wife has had their alfredo which she loves and she should know about it as she and her family owned a Geno?s East Pizza restaurant. I used to give her trouble about the fact that they had a sign in their place that said if you find a better Pizza then ours we will buy it, From the first time I brought her their she agreed that Joe?s was better. That is my opinion for what it is worth exnavydad
- Pros: Extremely friendly staff who give excellent service at an excellent value.

Best pizza anywhere

Best pizza without a doubt. I lived in Bridgeview then moved to Florida and always went to Joe's when I returned. Now I'm in TN and looking forward to coming more regularly to the Chicago area for a great pizza in a very welcoming atmosphere.
- Pros: great food, friendly service
- Cons: none

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JOE'S ITALIAN VILLA, I HAVE BEEN GOING EVER SINCE I WAS A KID AND MY PARENTS TOOK ME. NO MATTER IF YOU DINE IN, CARRY OUT, OR DELIVERY YOU ALWAYS GET WORLD CLASS SERVICE! GREAT FOOD, VERY AFFORDABLE, AND WHEN YOU THROW IN GREAT HOSPITALITY I DON'T THINK IT CAN BE BEAT! IN MY 25 YEARS OF GOING THERE I HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL OR EXPERIENCE.
- Pros: GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, AND GREAT PRICE.
- Cons: I HAVE NOTHING BAD TO SAY
Best Pizza in Chicago
by novatraynor at Citysearch
I was born in Chicago and I have had more than my share of pizza. Joe's is by far the best pizza in the area. I actual crave the taste. The sauce is addictive. Try the Italian Beef dipped with red sauce, it is outstanding. The thin crust pizza is what they are known for but the deep dish is a good change of pace. My whole family is addicted and I have hooked many of my friends into the villa. The service is great and the owners will stop by your table and say hello. If you haven't tried this place then find your way there.
It is great for the family with a casual atmosphere and the game is always on the TV.
- Pros: Great Pizza, Great sauce, good service, friendly place.
- Cons: Not open until 2:00pm on Sundays :)
All around bad

The minute I walked in it smelled like burnt cheese. Iced tea was more ice than tea. My chicken dumpling soup had no flavor and the dumplings were tasteless and mushy. The grilled chicken sandwich was the driest I've ever had and the bread was far from fresh. The fries were crinkle cut and obviously the frozen kind. My dining companion had the minestrone and salad with her spaghetti. She said nothing of the soup and salad and to me both looked pretty mundane. She said the spaghetti was "ok". Not once did the waitress ask how everything was or if we needed anything. Though the pizzas that were being brought out did look pretty good, the continued smell of burnt cheese permeated the place with each that was brought out. It was our first time there and needless to say, our last.
- Pros: I can't come up with one
- Cons: Poor parking in a strip mall, burnt cheese smell very unappetizing
Best Pizza I've had in years, Great freindly people

This has got to be the best pizza around, I grew up on Chicago's south side and have lived on pizza as all south side kids did. I'm no kid anymore I have eaten the rest and this pizza puts them to shame, everything is home made even the italian sausage. My wife and I would go out to a different pizza place every week and when we found Joe's we stopped going anywhere else, we have now become weekly regulars for our pizza fix, Rene (our waitress) knows our order before we even sit down we are greeted with a smile and what we drink is at the table without asking. Rene checks to see if we are having our usual because I keep saying I'm going to try something different on the menu but I never have because I don't want to wait another week for the pizza. This is a pizza place that you can walk into sit down get alot of food, a full stomach and have nice people that actually like having you there, nowadays alot of places you go to make you feel like your intruding, not at Joe's one example is I don't like Pepsi and Joe's fountain drinks are pepsi products but they have 6 packs of coke for their pizza delivery customers and Rene gives me a can of coke and a glass of ice and doesn't charge me anything different, Try getting that kind of service somewhere else, One little can of Coke has got them a customer for as long as I can eat pizza and every freind, buisness associate and anybody that brings up pizza will be referred to Joe's by me. On a final note The pizza place we went to the week before we found Joe's was Fox's which we all know doesn't cut their pizza, the staff was not nice the noise level was unbearable( we weren't even in the bar area) and then to really add insult to it all I got a bill for 46.00 without tip for 2 people and all we had was pizza and soft drinks. At Joe's I'm out the door for 20.00 for an extra large pizza and a couple of rounds of pop and a Thank you. Which by the way I should be thanking them. Like I said, I've had the rest this is the best.
- Pros: Everything
- Cons: NONE
