they do not have to wear

I wasn't sure if this store was called Moonlight Graham or Camelot since they have been here for 8 months and still no sign. This business is atrocious, i thought i walked into a thrift store. Why else would the clothes be stained and why else wouldn't they be able to afford a sign?

  • Pros: location
  • Cons: stained clothing, clothing that has been on the racks 4 yrs

Great selection of formal dresses for kids!

by mohanraj at Citysearch

I was looking for a formal toddler dress for my daughter to wear to a fancy event; this store has the best selection of fancy dresses that I've found in the city. So nice to find options that aren't just pink -- she wears a lot of pink, and it's nice to have other choices! Staff was helpful in finding the right accessories, friendly, and not too pushy, which I appreciate. The shoes we bought ended up being uncomfortable for her, so we exchanged them (careful, no cash refunds) for a great orange sweater on clearance.

I think the dress we picked was the 'Marie Antionette' -- the kid looks like a total princess in it. If you google 'Mary Anne Mohanraj', you'll get my website -- the September 22 blog entry has some great photos of the dress.

FAB but has more potential to do better

by beautifulfirefly at Citysearch

I checked out the store over the weekend, I was greeted by two lovely ladies, who directed me to the sizes and showed my kids the play area. I was very impressed that they carried many great european lines. The style of clothing is unique and exclusive. However I was very impressed with the girls selection but not too impressed with the boys. The reason why I took 1 star away is because they lack boys clothings and toys. The owners should focus more on having fun things and boys clothing since their is alot of demand, especially in this neighborhood. Other than that it is a great place to shop.

  • Pros: Great European brands
  • Cons: Does'nt have a lot of variety in boys

Best children's store by far!

by trendygurl8 at Citysearch

I just have one thing to say: don't waste your time at any other children's store....superb selection, quality of products, and service. I went to this store after several recommendations from friends on where do buy something for my nieces.

  • Pros: selection, personal attention, and everything else
  • Cons: haven't found anything yet

Outstanding customer service; fantastic products!

by fabmom at Citysearch

I walked into this store to buy an outfit for my 2 year old daughter for her birthday party. I walked in, and was instantly greeted by the girl who was working in the store. She was very helpful and seemed very knowledgeable about the items in the store. She was also very attentive to my daughter, and her likes and dislikes. Needless to say, I spent much more than I had planned, but my daughter looked fabulous at her party. Every other mom asked me where I had bought my daughter's adorable outfits, and I send them here.

  • Pros: customer service, selection, prices
  • Cons: that I didn't know about this store before

Love the store! Originated in Lincoln Park, Gold Coast. Caters to those with great taste!

by kirbu at Citysearch

OMG! Some nasty reviewers online! Let me guess, some high school girls from the areas Children's Boutiques?

I have worked on Armitage since 1991 and there have been lots of children's clothing stores in the area. Active Endeavors, Paul Smith & not sure if that little store across the way is still there?? Lincoln Park and especially Armitage are highly trafficked by mom's with strollers. Of course, there should be lots to offer for parents & their kids, not just one store. Why monopolize?

How many make up stores are there within a block radius? I know of 3 off hand and they are getting along swimmingly.

To whomever wrote about the owner writing their own review-don't be an ignoramous. They owners are from other countries with accents but are highly educated. I find your comments to be very disturbing.

I have been a customer since the store was on Clybourn and Webster (7yrs ago) and the clothes that they carry like Room 7, Floriane, Catimini are gorgeous and high quality. If you are Children's Place material, don't bother.

I had to become a Citysearch Reviewer because someone needs to put a stop to the nonsense! kb

  • Pros: Wonderful selection, a gem!
  • Cons: none.

What are they thinking.

by TracyBac at Citysearch

They have some cute things, kind of random and really small. I don't know what they were thinking though moving 3 doors down from stinky pants AND they are painting the same colors... pretty uncreative if you ask me- I guess imitation is the best form of flattery.

  • Pros: Some cute baby stuff
  • Cons: Past season, crowded

Unique

by kaos051 at Citysearch

I have my first child in Novemeber and all my friends recommended this boutique. At first I lost hope because I been to Madison & Friends, and that place was just awefull (extremely overprices and nothing looked unique). When I stopped in Camelot I was greated my an employee, she made my experience just wonderful. She was sooo helpfull, nice, and told me what pieces matched witout being pushy like other boutiques. What I love from the store is there unique clothes from Europe and the clothes are so unique you will not see them anywhere but here. I was amazed on their selection...camelot carries other things besides clothing. You will not regret coming in. No wonder it is vote best of city search for two years in a row! keep up the good work!

  • Pros: Everything is just fab!

Fabulous!

by gidgetty at Citysearch

I stopped in to get a couple baby shower gifts and the owner showed me the perfect thing right away. She was so great I decided to get an early birthday gift for someone else. Once again, the owner was great! She was helpful without being pushy....awesome! And to top it off, she took the time to individually package each gift while being super-friendly. Think of all the little kids you know and go buy some cute, kid-friendly clothes for them......now.

  • Pros: SERVICE!, location, selection
  • Cons: price if there are no sales
