Been There

The food is incredible only outdone by the service. Only complaint is the lack of parking. But that is true for all of the restaurants in the area
- Pros: Great Food
- Cons: Finally got to table 45 mins after reservation time
Disappointing

Everything about this meal was average for the $$$$. This is a case of charging more money just because they can........ Service is snooty.
The steak was ok, but that was the ONLY good part of my entire meal.
For a 6oz filet with some crabmeat (that was dry) $40 is extreme. I also had to send it back because the server never asked me how I wanted it prepared. My husband had asparagus with his meal that was mush. Dessert was boring and dry. Nothing left me wanting to go back.
- Pros: Nice decor
- Cons: everything else
Great Steaks - Just ask for how you'd like it! Great Wine

This is my regular when I visit Chicago area. Great steaks. Wonderful wine steward and wine selections. Pricy, but you get what you pay for. Always had a good experience here.
- Pros: Steaks, Wine
- Cons: A little too crowded... remove a few tables. I always get a booth
Stay away like the plague!!!!!

Had a reservation at 8pm, arrived 45 min early and wasnt seated until 8:25pm. After talking to the hostess, found out they skipped over us!!!! WHAT A JOKE! However, they did find us a table quickly afterwards. The drinks are OVERPRICED. If Im paying $10 for a martini, it better be a full pour up to the rim of the glass, not half way full. Ordered the porterhouse steak, cost $32, overpriced! Poor quality and a cut you could have found at any grocery store! When the steak was set in front of me, I looked like something from Jewel! At this price I expect a thick and incredibly tender steak. The sides were OK, but its a la carte, which jacks up the price. And it amazes me that this place is packed!! If another halfway decent steakhouse opened in Naperville, this place would close in a month!
- Pros: Ambience
- Cons: Food, Drinks, Service
Great place for a party

We had our company Christmas party here the other night and it was wonderful. The food was excellent; from the array of mouthwatering appetizers to the generously portioned entrees. The price is a little high but the experience was well worth it.
- Pros: Great food, good service
- Cons: , dark
Good food; Disappointing service

We celebrated Mother's Day dinner at Sullivan's. Our food was very good (except they served our appetizers the same time as the salad). I was disappointed because they did not have a changing station in the restroom. My only option was to change her on the wet and dirty sink - yuck! When asked if they offered a children's menu or at least smaller portions, our waitress was a bit snippy with her "NO" answer. Sorry for asking. Ok - this may just be a restaurant for adults, but I surely saw many young families on both of my visits.
- Pros: Good food
- Cons: , Dark, slow with appetizers
Mediocre food and horrible service

The best part of the experience was getting seated promptly. Everything was bad after that.
They served us bad wine and refused to take it back saying they wouldn't be able to serve it to anyone else.
Steaks were too over done and taking them back meant a VERY long wait for a correction. It took 3 re-tries before we gave up and ate what we got.
The general manager wouldn't come over to talk about any of the issues when we requested to talk to him, and when he finally did come over he a "too bad for you" attitude.
Later I found out that Sullivan's is supposed to be the high-end version of Lone Star Steakhouse. If I knew that I would have known to expect the experience we got.
- Pros: Decor
- Cons: Everything else
Overpriced and overrated

Went last night. The only thing that was good was the Souffle- had lemon and grand marnier. Ordered a medium-well steak, it was red in middle and charred on outside - hate that charred taste. Some of the steak pieces mushed and dissolved in my mouth-a sign of too much tenderizer? Ordered King Crab legs for $39.95-barely anything for the money. 1 decent size leg and the rest tiny legs. It was barely warm and unflavored. Sent it back. Service was average. They were apologetic and reduced the bill.
Classic martini bar/restaurant

This place reminds me of restaurants downtown Chicago--separate bar is a good place for a martini, etc. Food is very good, not cheap. Obviously, a steak is the way to go here.
- Pros: good food, good atmosphere
