Great tapas in Naperville
by colinsilveira

The restaurant is located within a white villa in the heart of Naperville. The menu includes excellent tapas which are wonderful for an after work getaway. The paella is great as well but not that authentic. The restaurant again tends to be a little loud and cramped up and wine list can get expensive.
Good food in a nice atmosphere

The food here was great, iam new to the Tapas style of serving food.Although i have been around in chicago's top restaurants i still found this place to be attractive.Tapas are bascially small portions of food which are served either cold or hot. The menu at Meson Sabika had a nice variety and also thier wine list. An average person will need to order 2 to 3 tapas to get filled up.thier prices are reasonable but their service is not all that great.overall i recommend it.
- Pros: tilapia and beef tenderloin
- Cons: none really

meson sabika is a great restaurant for a date or for a girls night out! the food is so reasonably priced and everything tastes so good. do not leave without trying the sangria! very romantic yet very fun!
- Pros: patatas alioli & sangria!
- Cons: not near anything else
Stop in for tapas and paella at this restored 1847 mansion on a wooded estate in the western suburbs.

In Short
The wait can be long at this intimate restaurant, but the tapas and other traditional Spanish dishes are worth it. Signature patatas con alioli blend thickly sliced potatoes with a garlic, parsley mayonnaise. Also try canalon de atun, a cannelloni filled with tuna, asparagus and basil, served cold with white wine vinaigrette and tomato basil. Colorful paellas take 35 minutes and arrive steaming hot in a traditional pan. For dessert, flan is always a good bet.

This place is absolutely amazing! The ambiance is outstanding. It was once a mansion, and now is converted into a beautiful restaurant. All the different little rooms each have their own character and decorations. Food is amazing, prompt service, overall very good!
An outstanding dining experience!

This is without a doubt my favorite restaurant. Outstanding ambience, food, and service. (I highly recommend John D. as a waiter.) It is tapas style, but they'll fill you in on how that works right away if you're not familiar with it.
We usually get three or four tapas for two people, with sangria, and we get out for under $50. I highly recommend the patatas alioli, goat cheese with tomato sauce, and any shrimp tapa. Excellent for a romantic evening. Make reservations on Friday and Saturday evenings, esp. after 7 PM.
- Pros: great food, great service, great sangria
- Cons: can be loud when busy
