Great Place for a Casual Meal. Leona's is a great place for a good Italian meal any time of the week. I've eaten here many times and have only ever had to wait for seating once, and that was around 8pm on a Saturday night. The atmosphere is relaxed and it's very quiet at lunchtime. My favorite item on the menu is the Psychadelic Salad, which has REAL lettuce and REAL vegetables, not the anaemic imitations one normally finds in one's salad bowl on the South Side/Suburbs. I also recommend the lasagne. I've only had the pizza once and it was decent (we all have different opinions on what constitutes good pizza), but all the pasta dishes are usually very good. The crusty bread with marinara sauce and herbed butter that they provide with any meal is quite a nice touch. My fiance also recommends the beers as they have a couple of good imports and some quality domestics.…
