Great, strong, supportive

I was in the midst of the worst time of my life, with my wife telling me that she wanted a divorce. I had consultations with several lawyers. Andy was really honest, and told me that she would not be able to get all the things I wanted. In retrospect, I see how unrealistic and unfocused my thinking was, because of my emotional upheaval. Andy was able to help me work out an arrangement for custody that was really in my kids'' best interests, and didn't charge unnecessary fees. Not cheap, but well worth the money for the long term relationship with my kids.

Excellent Lawyer

I usually avoid giving my opinion about any goods or services that I have received, however, I feel compelled to share this treasure that I found with everyone. That treasure would be Andrea M Schleifer, she is fantastic!!

Let me tell you about my experience. I retained Andy after searching for an A-V rating lawyer who specializes in divorce. (A-V Rating is the highest rating a lawyer can receive from their own peers). Immediately when I met her, I felt at ease. Her warm smile and easy going attitude was comforting, I find it very easy to be open with her. I never feel rushed or that any of my concerns are not important. She is both practical and knowledgeable.

Recently, my ex-husband was acting irrationally and I felt that I and my daughter were not safe around him. After notifying Andy of my fears, I experienced her as working quickly to successfully obtain an Order of Protection on our behalf. I personally witnessed her as being recognized and respected by other lawyers, judges and court personal. My divorce papers have been filed and I am confident that Andy will look out for mine and my childrens best interest.

All in all, I would strongly recommend Andy to people I like!! I plan on using her for all my legal needs!!!

Well worth the money!! Great lawyer -- professional and respected..

SHE WAS GREAT! I WOULD RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE. I had already been working with Andrea Schleifer when someone told me there was a bad posting on citysearch, so I looked it up and became concerned. She was representing me in my third go-round with my ex on custody and support. Beleive me, I know good lawyers from bad ones, having had both in the past, and seeing my ex's.

I was comfortable enough with her to ask her about the bad rap. She showed me the documentation from the complant this person (name was blacked out) had made to the people who license lawyers. -- they had tossed the complaint out.

Seems this lady complained that she didn't get a refund check, so Ms. Schleifer advised her that she would stop payment and reissue. The lady took the first check anyway, and deposited it -- so of course it bounced!!! She had said that she didn't get it, so it was reissued. The complaint was tossed by the agency.

Made the best of a bad situation for my kids and me.

I had an initial consultation with her, and while I was impressed, I decided to initially hire with someone who was supposed to be for men's rights. Boy, was that a mistake. AFter becoming obligated for thousands of dollars and getting nowhere, I decided to go back to Ms Schleifer. She pointed out certain defects in the papers that the mother's attorney had filed, which had not been addressed by my previous lawyers. She was direct, honest, and tho' sometimes I had to wait longer than I wanted to in order to get return calls, we ended up settling our case and avoiding thousands of dollars more in attorneys fees. She was respected by the judge, and the childrens' lawyer, and worked with the interest of the kids as her top goal. I trust her and would refer anybody I like to her firm.

• Pros: She has a great reputation, and lots of experience, and often set me straight on my too high expectations
• Cons: Not always easy to reach. No custody matter ends perfectly.

Tough, top notch, sensitive to my children

I was referred to Ms. Schelifer after being disappointed by previous lawyer. She took the bull by the horns and got things straightened out. I started getting child support, and fought my custody fight against my ex and his parents. She understood when I would get crazy, and helped calm me down. We were ready to go to trial, but ended with a decent settlement, and saved my children from having to get too involved.

Respected by lawyers and judge

Professional, experienced, it was obvious that the judge and the other lawyers involved respected her -- expensive, but worth it. No one ever gets everything they want, but I feel that the resolution in my case was fair, and good for my children.
