What Happened!!

I took 4 Days, to find the best Italian beef in Chicago.

This is "Not the Place"!!

Like most great places to eat, this place is not pretty!

Service is nothing to brag about, but if you want the Old Italian Beef and served the ol fashion way.

This is "Not the Place"!!

After all the Hype I receive about this place from the Old School Crowed, it was greasy, meat was not seasoned correctly and the bread was not authentic(Sausage was in the same catagory)!! - What Happened!!

I rate it 9 out of 10(I have only given a 10 out of 10 once)

• Cons: Save your money, Go somewhere else, Should be Ashamed

This old-fashioned Little Italy sandwich shop could make an Italian beef addict out of anyone.

Customers snake along the L-shaped counter while loud ladies working behind it bellow out orders. Stools line the wood-paneled walls; in warm weather, locals opt to eat on nearby stoops, watching the traffic pass by. The menu features burgers, Italian sausage, and sub sandwiches packed with mortadella, capricola and salami--but most people come to Carm's for the Italian beef sandwich, served piping-hot and not-too-sloppy, even when served with extra jus.
