I miss it !

After growing up in Chicago my whole life and moving away. The thing I miss most is Portiillo's. The best beef sandwiches and hot dogs ever. I just recently passed through Chicago for 2 days, and you better believe I was at Portillo's both days !!

There is no food comparable to Chicago beefs here in Denver. They have no idea what Italian beef is nor would they understand "WET".

Please build one in North Denver !!!!

Portillo's cavernous bi-level space has a touristy feel that's rife with nostalgia for the Capone era. An antique car hangs from the ceiling, and old photos and Depression-era signs adorn the exposed-brick walls. The Italian beef sandwich is a star here, shaved slices of beef served on chewy French bread and soaked in its own jus. Other favorites include Chicago hot dogs, burgers, Polish sausage and cheese fries.

I absolutely love portillos!!! The double dipped italian beef sandwiches with peppers & cheese are fantastick!! I wish they would come to St Louis.

Great Dog!

Visited Portillo's with co-workers at lunch after hearing so many positive reviews. Concered when we walked through the door due to the long lines. However, the line went quick and the decorations and atmosphere kept my attention away from the wait.

Ordered the polish dog with "everything" and was not disappointed. Fair price for a drink, dog and fries. Probably could have ate two dogs, but realized one was just right for lunch time.

A World Leader in Italian Beefs

I have never had a better beef anywhere in the world. Throw some hot peppers on there get it dipped and it's a meal to remember. Of course Portillos is also known for their hot dogs and ribs, but their beefs are phenominal. I thought it was a miracle that they are opening one in Southern California, now I can't say that LA has horrible food now that Portillos has arrived.

great on the run

Like all portillo's the drive thru is a model of efficiency. The dogs are as good as anywhere in the area. The burgers are good as is the rest of the menu. The chocolate cake is way above average. Having to stand in line (maybe two lines) makes it tough on a large family to order, but the tables are set up nicely for large groups once you get your order.

EXCELLENT ITALIAN BEEF SANDWICHES

I LOVE this place! I have NEVER had a bad experience at ANY Portillos in my 30 years. The food is always fresh, hot, and made to order. Not to mention DELICIOUS!

Great for Italian Beef and Dogs!

Being that this is the only Itallian beef i've had in my life (I'm from Minnesota), I have to say, if they opened one of these up in Eden Prairie, it might become my only lunch spot! I grabbed an Italian Beef at the downtown location, and on the way home, a Polish Sausage Dog at the Downers Grove location (Drive through, don't get the worng impression, this is WAY better then your average fast-food joint.) The beef was great, albeit greasy. And the Polish was excellent. The French Fries are amoung the best i've had, only being beaten by the waffle fries at a certen Minnesota restaurant that - For the sake of being neutral and not advertising, will not be mentoned in the review. So, if you're in town, stop at one of these, you won't be disspointed!
