Cool atmosphere, love the roof-top deck
by jimmyj101 at Citysearch
This is a great place to go for after work drinks. On a nice day, Head up to the roof and have a drink at the rooftop bar. They have a solid and diverse offering of self-brewed beers. The menu is also solid. I love the wings, but avoid the salmon fish & chips. The downside is that it's pricey, but what can you expect from a chain brewery located in downtown chicago. If you want cheap drinks, head down the street to one of the many hole-in-the-wall bars.
- Pros: great atmosphere, good beers
- Cons: pricey
Over Priced!!!
by tequilas at Citysearch
Having lived in NYC for years I'm no stranger to over priced drinks but this place is ridiculous! It's a local happy hour restaurant with bar food yet the mixed drinks are priced as if you are at a 5 star celeb hangout. Give me a break. I will never go back!!!
- Cons: over-priced mixed drinks
Just the right place

what a great time we had! we stumbled on the bar after dinner on a saturday evening, so we had a few drinks and had a great time. the next day we were planning on going to espn zone to watch the jets game and they weren't playing the game! so we went right back to rock bottom to watch football... wings were delish!
A casual brew pub with great beer, a collegiate atmosphere, and an alluring rooftop deck.

In Short
This spacious restaurant's college feel is magnified by pool tables, young, denim-clad servers, and beer posters you might see in a dorm room. The menu offers plenty of good brewpub fare: Ribs and chicken are smoky and tangy, with a serious kick. Fragrant with beer, brown ale chicken has mushrooms and strips of chicken layered over white cheddar mashed potatoes. Beers are all brewed on-site, and range from Chicago Gold to Terminal Stout.
Excellent

This was the best restuarant we ate at during our visit to chicago. The portions were huge, food was outstanding and the price was the best part about it. Services wasnt the best in the world but overall this was a great dining experience.
- Pros: Food, Price, Portions
- Cons: Service
Save room for Dessert!
by mmpeck at Citysearch
Fos starters, you can't go wrong with the seared ahi appetizer. The tuna just melts in your mouth! Then I skip the entree and plunge straight into dessert. The derby pie is to die for. A must try for chocolate lovers!
- Pros: great prices, large portions, fun atmosphere

Great food, drink and atmosphere!! The key lime pie is wonderful!
- Pros: Beer
Strong beer

I would warn you to not drink too many of one of their beers, but I can't remember which one! Start with the beer sampler and you are sure to find one to suit you. Service was great and the atmosphere is youthful but mixed. The pool tables are pretty nice for a bar, full-size too. Munchies were great...but considering how many beers I drank, the napkins would have tasted great. I had such a good time here, I had to try the one in Long Beach, CA...I think I will stick to the Chicago location.

Good brew

We started with a sampler of all the beers before homing in on a single flavor. That seems to be a good idea if it's your first time. Also, you can get beer to go. The atmosphere was borline sportsbar, without the team posters. The food was very good.
