The starters were greasy...greasy, greasy...The pizza was undercooked with raw topings....The side salad was brown lettuce and one onion ring...We were left waiting for over 40 mins....The food is way over-priced... We had fine dining meals which were better value!!!!!We were all ill afterwards.....
- Pros: Worst Pizza ever
- Cons: Terrible food
Worst Pizza I've Ever Had!
by kaamandrew at Citysearch
We went in to the one on Superior and ordered a large, 3 topping DD pizza, and cheesy bread for carry out. Cost's were conveniently not posted, but hey, it's just pizza right. WRONG. We were rung up and told the price was over $45.00!!! Yes, I could have left, but we were hungry, and it's famous...so...the fool in me paid, and was told to wait for the next 45 minutes in a corner of a hallway with 1 chair (and 5 people waiting).
The place was filthy, the cooking staff was spending more time eating and talking than working (including the manager on duty). Over 1 hour later our pizza arrived. We we're rudely "shoved off" as though we were miscreants for ordering carry-out.
Back in the hotel, I can honestly say it was one of the worst pizza's I've ever had. It was closer to eating cornmeal lasagna than any pizza. It had sickly sweet sauce, and even after an hour the crust was still undercooked.
I'd complain to the restaurant management, but I'm sure all I'd get is an "are you talkin’ to me?"
Trust me when I tell you to avoid this tourist trap at all costs. It’s a HUGE rip off!
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: Expensive, awful service, bad quality

Chicago's best deep dish
by JeffLovesGolf at Citysearch
What's not to like about delicious deep dish pizza [unless you don't like grease!]
Try it with mushrooms and extra cheese! Yum!
I also like cheesecake for dessert. If you visit Chicago, you gotta check out Ginos!
- Pros: Best deep dish in town
- Cons: Usually crowded and not exactly heatlh food
Great pizza, but i prefer the thin
by mjoshea at Citysearch
These guys know pizza. While I'm not a fan of the deep dish anywhere (other than the funky version at Chicago Pizza Co), I do enjoy good thin crust. This is thicker than many thins, but still delish. I had a spinach pizza and it rocked.
- Pros: Spinach thin crust
- Cons: It won't make you any skinnier
Used to be good. Bad Owners

This place used to be great. Number One! But now, Cheap cheese just made to look stretchy, cheap ingredients and overpriced. Whoever owns Gino's now clearly deals in volume over quality. I'll go to Malnati's for real italian deep dish. Leave this place for tourists who don't know any better.
- Pros: Touristy if you like that
- Cons: Has gotten worse over the years due to cutting corners
Legendary Indeed!

The service was great. Our water glasses were never empty. Great menu! Deep dish pizza takes a while to cook, but well worth the wait! Interesting atmosphere (you get to write on the walls). Awesome, awesome pizza.
- Pros: Deep dish was amazing
- Cons: There's a wait for the pizza, long lines are hard to avoid
Not Worth Coming Back
by Wilvis at Citysearch
It started out pretty good. We got seated quickly and the beer I ordered tasted good. It went down hill from there. The cheese sticks were extra salty and the sauce was just so, so. The waiter forgot about us the rest of our stay except to ask how the pizza was and flop the bill on top of the to go box. We got served by some friendly Latino guys who brought the pizza, took our picture and brought us our to go box. The guy never asked if we wanted more to drink even though we had empty glasses near the end of eating the pizza. He waited on his friends next door though. Anything they wanted. The guy was impatient and impolite when we tried to tell him why he wasn't getting a tip. We had to go tell someone else about him.
The pizza at Ginos is only fair, and certainly nothing to go back for. The crust reminded me of a crispy bisket. It had a slightly sweet taste. My fiance said she would like to have it with coffee in the morning. The crust is smothered in thick red sauce. If you like alot of sauce, there it is. You get plenty of fresh veggies in the sauce, but if you are a big meat lover you will be disappointed with the "Supreme". There's nothing supreme about it.
We drove up from Missouri to have great Chicago style deep dish pizza. If this is one of the best Chicago pizza places, I'll stay in Missouri and doctor up a frozen pizza from the grocery store.
- Cons: They need to train their waiters better.
