I have been a client of Aquiles Molina, who recently joined the Jospeh Michaels team, longer than I would like to admit. The relationship with a colorist/hair stylist is one of enormous trust and Aquiles is an expert colorist and hair stylist. He has never let me down.

Patrick Russo Will Be Missed

I have been going to Patrick for almost 15 years and there are no words to describe the consistent, professional service I have received from him - he is the best! My appointments were always scheduled at the end of my stressful work day and Patrick was always waiting there for me with a smile...and a glass of wine! Patrick was always willing to work with my ever-changing ideas about new hairstyles, color options and product choices - he cared about my hair issues. My hair became more difficult to control over the years and Patrick was always researching to find new solutions to my problems. This year Patrick was trained to become certified to do the Keratin Complex Smoothing Treatment and he thought I would be the perfect candidate. This treatment does not harm your hair in any way and was advertised to make it more manageable. I jumped at the chance to have it done and my only words to describe this treatment for me is life-changing! Patrick was meticulous when he was putting the treatment on my hair - when he was finished I could not believe it was my hair I was staring at in the mirror - and now 5 months later it still looks fabulous. That all being said you can only imagine my disappointment when Patrick told me he was moving to Arizona to open up his own salon. I am very happy for him - I know he will do well - but once word spreads about the new Russo Salon I have one piece of advice for the women in AZ - Patrick will be a hard guy to get into - make yourself a standing appointment - you will not be sorry. Patrick always made me look fabulous - brightened my day - I will miss him terribly.

Best Manicure in the Gold Coast

I have had a wonderful experience for over 6 years with Maggie as my manicurist. She is very professional and at the same time a pleasure. My nails have never been in better shape. I appreciate the fact that Maggie is always on time, I never have to wait for my appointment. I am very much someone who appreciates professionalism , which Maggie displays at every appointment. I look forward to my weekly manicures and monthly pedicures.

MICHELLE NOW WORKS AT AMBRA SALON & SPA

Michelle has done my hair for about 4 years now. I will follow her to any salon she works at. Luckily, Ambra, her new salon is directly accross the street from Joseph Michaels. Its a beautiful space and they offer all of the same spa services!

Mediocre service for an Expensive Price!

I hate to start this on a negative note, but nonetheless, Joseph Michael's is terribly over priced, and ridiculously OVER RATED. Do not trust these people, prices have a tendency to change, the stylists are sitting on a pedestal and will mangle your hair with their dangly arms. The manicurist must have Parkinson’s, because they can not draw a straight line to save their lives, the spa was okay, if it wasn't for the constant complaining of the persons life, the Massage was, non existent as the person was complaining about how much their arms hurt. DO NOT GO TO JOSEPH MICHAEL'S UNLESS YOU ARE REDICULOUSLY RICH AND WANT TO THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY ON LESS THAN ACCEPTABLE SERVICE.

Patrick Russo is the greatest!!!

I have been a client of Patrick for over 19 years. In that time, I have NEVER had a bad haircut or color. He LISTENS!!! He will do what you want....IF you want his opinion, he will give it...telling you what he thinks would look best on you and what your hair can and can't do. He is a genuine good guy, consistently excellent, thoughtful and always on time. He is outstanding personally and professionally. I will miss him terribly.

Goodbye and Goodluck Patrick!

If you have difficult hair, Patrick is the stylist for you! He's worked with me for over 21 years. I began losing my hair in my early 30's to my great distress. He always knew how to style and recommend the best products for my thinning hair. He made my difficult situation better and I truly appreciated him all these years. I was horrified to learn that he was relocating to Arizona but happy for the opportunity that it created for him. If you are in the Arizona area and looking to see what his customer base in Chicago thought of him, be reassured. He's really knows what he is doing and will help you. Most importantly he will work with you so that you don't end up going home with something you can't manage!!!! Our loss in Chicago, your gain in Arizona.

Chicago's Best Esthetician

Nicole Ciesla is the premiere esthetician in the city. Facing acne problems, I first sought the advice of "expert" dermatologists, but to no avail. The doctors I saw put me on every medication offered, but the acne just got worse. Next, I searched high and low for knowledgeable estheticians that were at the forefront of the industry's latest techniques and products in my hometown of Milwaukee, WI. Unfortunately, I found the estheticians in my area lacked the cutting edge knowledge to help with my problems. Finally, I located Joseph Michael's Salon and Spa in downtown Chicago. This is where my acne problems were finally fixed.

I have been seeing Nicole once a month for about 9 months and the results speak for themselves. Unlike other estheticians I have seen, Nicole cares as much about my facial problems as I do. She listens to my concerns and then utilizes the latest techniques and premiere product lines to help with my acne. Whether you are looking for solutions to acne problems or minimizing aging, Nicole, by far, is the best. You are wasting your time and money going anywhere else. I can say this boldly because I am willing to drive 2 hours just to see her.

Patrick Russo - is the best ever!!!

I've been going to Patrick to have my hair cut for years. I was referred to him by a friend who raved about his abilities. He is a friendly, professional individual who listens to what you want rather than imposing on you what he wants. That is key for me.

My most recent experience has been the best. After years of watching my hair turn grey I started thinking about coloring it. I talked with Patrick who gave me the facts - he did not push me either way. I was a bit nervous about it so we had several conversations over a period of months. Finally, I decided to take the plunge. I'm so happy that I did! First, all my grey is gone. My husband, family, friends, co-workers all have had the same reaction: 1) it looks fabulous, very natural, has taken 10 years off of me; 2) whoever did it, did a fantastic job and you need to keep him!

Patrick is moving to Arizona to start his own business and people have gone so far as suggesting I might want to fly out there to have him continue to do my hair. Let's just say I'm thinking about it....

Sincerely, it has been a joy working with Patrick. Whoever is lucky enough to work with him in Arizona, I'll be envious of you!
