Best Possible Experience. I contacted Christopher in early March while in search of a jeweler that creates custom engagement rings. I set an appointment over the phone and was intending on it being a rather short interaction, basically just look at some of his work, discuss prices, and head home.

From the moment I walked in, I knew this experience would be different. Christopher and his staff were very warm and receptive to me, and our first conversation felt like catching up with an old friend. We discussed what I was looking for, the relationship itself, and eventually we sketched out some ideas right then and there.

The Ring: So, the basic idea was I had my grandmother's original wedding ring from the 40's, and I wanted to utilize some of the stones to create a new and unique piece. My fiance' is not really into diamonds, so we created a piece that had the diamond from my grandmother's ring as the center stone, and then two magnificent sapphires set on each side. Also, on the outside of the 3 main stones, we would cross set 6 smaller diamonds (2 on each stone). Christopher told me he'd draw up a computerized image, and he'd email it to me in a day or two. The next day, I had it in my inbox, and I immediately approved the production. Then, about a week later, the ring was done.

To put it bluntly, the ring is unbelievable.

Highly Recommended!!!!!. I cannot say enough good things about Christopher Duquet and his team. Initially, I went to Christopher to talk about hiding an ugly engagement ring behind some of his beautiful wedding bands. But Christopher wanted me to be completely happy with the entire set and convinced me to start fresh with a new engagement ring. From the onset, Christopher stressed that he wanted me to be happy with the ring. He reassured me every step of the way that I would get exactly what I wanted for my ring. He had a CAD drawing made within a few weeks so I could get more of a feel of what the ring looks like.

When I went in for my first fitting, I worked with Villi, who was so sweet and understanding. I wasn’t happy with the diamond I had picked out the week before. She could tell I was hesitant and said it needs to be prefect and that they would look for another diamond I was happy with. Now I know this was a pain for them, but they truly wanted to make me happy! I know jewelers are salesmen, but I never got this from Christopher. I gave him my budget and he worked his magic to stay within it.

So after another diamond search, my ring was going to be ready in 2 weeks. My boyfriend called and asked if they could have it ready a week early as a surprise to me. I had waited 2 months for a new ring and I was so anxious. And of course they delivered! The ring is so amazing. It’s been about a month since I’ve gotten my ring and still can’t stop staring at it. Every little detail of the ring is perfect. I seriously can’t find a mistake in the ring. It has engraving on all sides of the band and even on the tiny horizontal bars in between the prongs. They didn’t leave any details out. My ring is truly a piece of art.

Completely Satisfied Customer. My partner and I had a fabulous experience with Christopher Duquet. We wanted to design bands for our civil union, but had no idea where to start or what we wanted. We were shown many different options and educated about the benefits of certain styles. Villi took the time to make design suggestions that made the most of our budget. As the rings were being produced, we went back twice - once for a last fitting, and again to OK the final design before the diamonds were set. We really appreciated the attention to detail in every step. I love the fact that our rings aren’t machine made, but custom rings that are truly little pieces of art. Christopher Duquet is amazing!. I am a graduate student that lives on a very modest budget. When I came in looking for an engagement ring for my now fiancee I thought that I was way out of my league. When I told the staff about my budget they said "No Problem" and proceeded to help me find what I (and my fiancee) think is the most beautiful ring.

I purchased a presentation ring to give my fiancee and then we both went back to custom design a ring for her. The staff was incredibly helpful in finding a diamond and sapphire side stones. They helped us design a custom setting to our specifications. What really struck me was how much they cared about what the ring looked like. They were not going to let us design a ring that was ugly and garish, but they also listened and did what we wanted at the same time. Fantastic Designs, and Even Better Service. After visiting Christopher Duquets in Evanston, I was blown away by the quality of his jewelry. I was referred to Christopher by a friend of mine, when I was recruited to help someone pick out an engagement ring.

I called the day before to let him know our budget, what kind of ring we were looking for (style, diamond cut etc.), and that we were in a bit of a time crunch because my friend wanted to propose at the end of the week. When we dropped by the next day he was extremely friendly, and knew exactly what we were talking about and showed a range of rings to choose from which were all stunning. After we had picked out the setting, he had set aside diamonds for us to choose from. He was extremely helpful, and knowledgeable, at helping us choose the ring and diamond. He set the stone while went to lunch, and it was ready when we came back.

He really helped my friends make the a perfect proposal with an absolutely fabulous ring. My friend and his new fiance, came back the following week to get the ring sized, and experienced the same great experience. We have been bragging about it to everyone we know.
