Beautiful, Great Accommodations, Great Service, Best Location
by nolachitown at Citysearch
My boyfriend and I wanted to have a nice, romantic getaway so we decided to give this place a try. It's the first of the Affinia chain to be located outside of New York. Even thought the hotel was was under construction at the time ( April 2008 to remodel a rooftop terrace) their staff was so helpful, and the accommodations were top notch. While the view is nothing to write home about, I could've lived in my room if Chicago wasn't such an amazing city. I'll definitely be back.
- Pros: larger bathroom than expected for a boutique hotel, great location, beautiful room
- Cons: construction at the time
Best hotel in Chicago
by westlooplife at Citysearch
During my family's recent stay in Chicago we found out that our favorite hotel was now known as the Affinia. After our week long visit we not only consider this hotel our favorite but canceled our reservations in NYC in a month to stay at one of the Affinia Hotels. The service and attitude of the staff was spectacular and we were treated as people rather than your typical tourists. I could go on and on and on, but suffice it to say that there are not enough hotels of this caliber to choose from.
- Pros: Staff, service, comfort
- Cons: none
Great Hotel @ Great Price
by adaj76 at Citysearch
My husband & I celebrated his 30th birthday at the Fitz. It was great. The rooms were beautiful for the price. Very clean and close to everything. The bellmen were great! We will stay again!!! The breakfast is a bit pricey so we walked to the Corner Bakery ( only a block and a half). The beds were fantastic! Very soft & I woke up with no back problems! We did not realize that our room came with a CD player, so don't forget to bring CDs.

Big name hotels have a lot to learn from the Fitzpatrick!!
The location, simply put, can NOT be beat. Steps off the main part of Mich. Ave. and yet a million miles away from the chaos. Every employee greeted me by name with a big smile, and catered to me like I was royalty.
MUCH less expensive than most other hotels, this boutique beauty is by far the most pleasent place I've EVER stayed. .. And convenient - salon, restaurant, pub, etc without leaving the bldg!
- Pros: EVERYTHING!, Staff, Location
- Cons: NOTHING!
A luxury boutique-style hotel, just steps away from Michigan Avenue.

In Short
With a Mag Mile location especially convenient for leisure travelers, this Gold Coast hotel has 40 executive rooms and 100 suites, plus a penthouse floor. Roomier than executive rooms, suites offer king or queen beds plus separate living areas. All rooms have cable television, terry-cloth robes, ethernet data ports and mini-refrigerators for convenience. Other amenities include an exercise room, 24-hour room service and a rooftop pool with a view of the Chicago skyline.
You'll love it!

Small - personable - friendly - warm -
You'll love the fact that it feels like coming home. Not into a cold hotel where you never see the same faces. You'll learn the names of the staff and they'll know who you are too! AND - it's location puts you in the heart of the city! You can't get a better value anywhere!
A GREAT HOTEL
by william nugent at Citysearch
I just want to advise anyone travelling to Chicago on business (or pleasure) to try The Fitzpatrick. It must have one of the best locations in town, but even better, it is one of the friendliest hotels I have ever stayed in. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay very special. It was our first visit to Chicago and I hope we will get a chance to go back someday. If we do, we will choose The Fitzpatrick.

THE FITZPATRICK IS A SECRET GEM

I have been travelling to Chicago for many years and I have finally found a hotel that genuinely feels like a home-from-home. There is nothing false or pretentious about The Fitzpatrick - the service is genuine, warm and honest. Here they are happy to have you as a guest - and I will be happy to return and make it my Chicago home. The rooms are enormous and comfortable and the rates are very reasonable. Best of all is Fitzers, the little Irish Pub nestling in the basement - fabulous Guinness and great ambiance.
- Pros: FRIENDLY, HOME-FROM-HOME, GREAT VALUE

Great hotel in the City of Chicago. I recently made a visit to the Fitzpatrick Hotel on business and it was great! The impeccable service and the wonderful rooms really made my trip a little easier. I was so close in proximity to all of the meetings that I had to attend I was able to walk everywhere!! It was great. I also enjoyed the Irish Pub "Fitzers". What a comfortable place to unwind after a hectic day. I will surley be back when I have to come back into town.
- Pros: Location, Great Value, Excellent Beds
