Customer Service needs attention
by Huskies23 at Citysearch
What made this location special is the only way you can get any help is to actually be physically in the store before you can talk to someone to ask if they have a specific item in stock, or leave a message and hope they call back. After one of my 5 or so calls, someone did pick up the phone there only to dial and then hung up on me. Nice. So, I could take the train or pay to park and hope they have what I am looking for there or go to Fleet Feet where I know what they have because they care to pick up the phone. Niketown is too big to care.
- Cons: No one ever answers the phone at this store.
Shopping is an experience at this museum to the glory of the ubiquitous brand.

The Scene
People flock to the store to see the interactive displays, sports memorabilia (including M.J.'s shoes displayed behind glass) and looming images of sports icons on three shopping levels. Aerobic techno music pounds from the speakers, and life-size mountain-biker statues dangle from the ceiling.
The Goods
All the T-shirts, caps, backpacks, basketball jerseys, sweatshirts, golf clubs and caps you can imagine--and all of it swooshed. The first floor carries the men's stuff; the second floor, with women's selections, has been revamped and expanded. The third floor has kids' stuff, golf equipment, video theater (showing shorts on things like women's volleyball and Michael Jordan), and the team sports display, showcasing Nike jerseys and equipment from the NFL and NBA.
Marathon Prepped

Niketown went all out to support the Chicago Marathon and it's participants. Thanks
Semper Swoosh

Semper Fi of course is the Marine Corps motto which means "always faithful". So it only makes sense for this Marine to call this review Semper Swoosh or Always Swoosh... NIKETOWN Chicago has the most innovative technology when it comes to sports apparel. Whether your a hooper, golfer, runner or weight lifter. They have something for everyone. As Nike, Inc. founder Bill Bowerman once said, " if you have a body, then you're an athlete....".

Just Do It

you won't find cheap prices @ Niketown. if you want stuff off the sale rack go to footlocker or the mall. Niketown has all the latest sneakers and clothes, new Air Jordans etc..but it's full price. so bring the Amex Gold card. This place is basically a shrine to Corporate Nike and all their paid-endorsees (the athletes) Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods etc...bottom line: good selection but $$$
- Pros: good selection
- Cons: pricey
