Every time I go I always get their Spicy Chicken(their version of general chu's). Its addicting and is all white meat. The appetizers are smaller portions, but thats good b/c then you can eat more of the good stuff!!

Recommended dishes are the Chang's Spicy Chicken, Double Pan Fried Noodles and Kung Pao Shrimp!!

  • Pros: Flavorful Cuisine, The Spicy Chicken, Ambiance
  • Cons: No Egg Rolls!!

Very dusty and dirty restaurant, uniforms are ugly, food quality is terrible, compared to Northbrook, and what is up with that shelf they have upstairs where they keep all the dirty plates from previous guests? Can we say Health inspector please?

The restaurant is so dirty, I understand they are on a street corner in downtown Chicago, but please guys get it right. Easton and Northbrook are the better locations and have better food quality. Fix your uniforms, those black ninja outfits are terrible!

In Short
Towering twin stallions and carved wood screens add majesty and mystery to this stylish restaurant, where well-dressed patrons sip martinis at the bar and families with children feast around large tables or in spacious booths. The menu gives Chinese classics a contemporary tweak; dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. Signature plates include diced chicken wrapped in cool lettuce leaves, orange-peel beef with chili peppers, and wok-fried scallops with lemon sauce.

  • Pros: good foodcomfortable ambience
  • Cons: not authentic chinese

I have taken numerous out of town guests here - mostly friends from Europe, one of which who lived in China - and he thought it was great. Each time my guests enjoyed it. Maybe it's not the most authentic Chinese - but it is very good food. I would highly recommend the crispy beef. Would also recommend the king pao chicken. Chicago is tough to find good chinese food - but this place gets the job done. Service was friendly and efficient and our bill didn't break the bank. If only they would turn down the air conditioning....we all froze.

  • Pros: Menu that offers something for everyone
  • Cons: Bring your sweater for the blasting air conditioning

I went here for a quick lunch one day. It was pretty empty, although it was a weekday. We sat upstairs, where there is a large room with dark wood tables and red accents everywhere. We ordered lunch bowls, and it was okay. Definitely not the best asian food I've ever had though. The service was good, and it is an elegant vibe to it even though it's pretty casual. I would recommend going at night more than during the daytime, since the upstairs has nice windows, and the city lights would add a lot more to the experience.

  • Pros: Decor, location
  • Cons: Not the best asian food

For a chinese restaurant this place is a disapointment. Me and my girlfriend waited for 30 minutes to be seated on a thursday night. Three of the receptionist where arguing among themselves who to seat first. . when we were seated the floor was disgusting, rice and chopsticks where on the floor where we ate. the food came another 20 min later. it was not that great, i had better food and cheaper prices at china town the chow mein had no taste wats so ever. it was so bland. This place is we wont ever go again

  • Pros: none
  • Cons: bad lighting and everything else

Its pretty good, only it is definitely not Chinese food -- lets put it this way. American is 1, and Chinese is 10. I would say that P.F. Chang's is around 2 to 3. It is seriously closer to american than authentic Chinese food. Although, as a Chinese, I have actually found the food not that bad. Its pretty good, only its not the best. I think personally that Yu's Mandarin is way better. But, to my surprise, everyone said in their review, "Long wait." When I went there at seven o'clock on Tuesday, we were seated prompty.

  • Pros: no real pros, really
  • Cons: minor con -- it wasn't real chinese, though

The lighting and the decorations were nice. The waiters were annoying, talking too much, asking too many questions and would not leave us alone. The plates were not clean, there were pieces of dried food stuck to it and couple of pieces of old rice stuck on the bottom, the waiter went to get the manager and took off the wanton soup off the bill. Just to let you know this is not authentic chinese crusine, food tasted like a frozen dinner with little chinese ingredients. It's too fatty and salty but I guess most westerners grew up eating McDonalds and hotdogs so this is what they are use to. What makes a great asian dish is the rice, I know this because I am asian, and grew up in an asian home. The rice at PF Chang tasted like uncle bens rice or minute rice, it was dry, cold, clumpy, hard and tasted like it was sitting there for few hours. I asked for a new fresher bowl of rice, few mins later the manager showed up again asking what the problem was, except this time he as little rude and sounded annoyed. Ingredients in PF Chang does not come close to the real thing, go to a chinatown in a city nearby if you want real chinese food.

  • Pros: Nice lighting and decorations
  • Cons: Everything else was bad

It's sad that people who eat here think they are eating Chinese food, it doesn't come close. No doubt this Americanized impression of Chinese food suits the tastes of many, but if you are a true fan of Chinese cooking, than you will want to stay clear of this place.

  • Pros: Lively
  • Cons: Not Authentic, Poor value

I absolutely love this place. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have been to this one many times. As well as the one in Shaumburg and the ones in both Phoenix and Scottsdale Arizona. I have never had a bad experience. Or a long wait. The serves are always so nice and attentive. But not overly so where they are being a constant interuption. The food is great. I love the lettuce wraps. I do wish the spicy foods were a bit spicier but they are very good none the less. It's an excellent atmosphere.

  • Pros: Everything
  • Cons: Spicy foods could have a bit more kick

I have been to PFC a few times, once in Denver and twice here..I loved each and every experience. If you really love the great ingredients that go into Chinese, Pan Asian cuisines..you will love this place..because everything is so fresh and jumps off the plate at you. No its not your neighborhood China Palace but its a far nicer experience. I found it to be a great place for the 'Girls Night Out' parties.. The atmosphere is sharp, sleek, inviting, and very fulfilling... Its a wonderful culinary experience.

Good Eating!

  • Cons: PArking
