The classic elegance of the lobby and 435 guest rooms is a stark contrast to neighboring Water Tower Place's modernism. The decor is lush but conservative with marble floors, grand floral arrangements and upholstered furniture in fine fabrics. Guests may take advantage of the "I Need It Now Program": At any time of day, more than 100 travel "essentials," from cufflinks to bobby pins, are available for delivery to your room. Standard amenities include down pillows, robes, high-speed Internet access, cordless telephones and complimentary toiletries. All rooms feature large picture windows that offer views of the city and lake. The Carlton Club has modern fitness facilities and classes, a lap pool and a roof-top sundeck. The full service spa offers a full range of treatments including massage, body wraps, facials and manicures.

Great Afternoon experience

The best way I can describe afternoon tea at the Ritz - Luxurious, relaxing, delicious. The staff was friendly, welcoming and attentive. The area is spacious and comfortable which allows people to privately enjoy their afternoon tea. The only minor complaint is that the water fountain statue near my table was a little noisy. I am looking forward to my next visit!

Wonderful!

I've stayed in this hotel several times when I visit Chicago - and it couldn't be a better location for shopping, dining, and nightlife! The staff is incredibly gracious and helpful.

The Ritz-Carlton completely lived up to my expectations of a true luxury hotel: lovely accommodations; great service (concierge remembered my name); great food & great location.

Luxurious !!!!

As a frequent traveller, I'm use to great hotels, but this is among the two or three greatest in the world for luxury and attentiveness. It is comparable to the Dorchester in London and the Crillon in Paris. A step up from the Plaza in New York. I find no thing to criticize and everything to compliment. I'll return very soon - and every time I'm in Chicago!!
