trendy

by avalilyrocks at Citysearch

If you?re a trendy parent, you will love this store. If you style is more classical, then this is not the place for you. My children have different styles. This place has trendy clothes that you can also find in LA boutiques such as Kitson. But they also have brands you can find in retail stores. I believe that inorder for a store to be unique it has to carry brands that are not available in big retail stores. There is nothing unique about juicy, ed hardy and true religion if every store carries it. When i think of boutiques, I think of clothes or accessories that are unique and hard to find. I think Madison?s can be a bit overpriced compared to other boutiques in Chicago

  • Cons: overpriced

cute!

I used to go to this store all of the time when my kids were little and I just went back for the first time in about 7 yrs to get a baby gift for my cousin. I got the cutest newborn gift for my cousin...a summer dress, a bikini, and baby sunglasses. This store is just as current and fun as it was when my kids were little! Oh, and my kids are now obsessed with their tween store in Lincoln Park!

Thank Goodness for this store!

I never ever write reviews...and today I've done so for both this store and for their TWEEN store in Lincoln Park. First of all, I had trouble finding the store cause its listed on Rush st, but it's actually on the second level at 43 E oak st. I finally found it, and it was worth the search! I have 8 neices and nephews to buy christmas presents for, so i walked into the store with a list of their names and sizes and the adorable girls who work there practially did the shopping and gift wrapping for me! Not only were they EXTREMELY patient with me, but they picked out the cutest things that I haven't seen 100 times before! I was a little reluctant to go in because I heard it was pricey, but the girls helped work with my budget and everything was so cute.

  • Pros: Accessories and clothes are unique...havent seen them before!
  • Cons: It took a while to find because it's on the second level.

Avoid at all costs.

This store is so tacky. Run across the street to Barneys or Camelot for crying out loud. This store does not belong in the city, maybe the north shore. Sorry to dismay. Terrible Service on many occasions.

  • Pros: It's across the street from Barneys.
  • Cons: The store looks like a dump. The clothes look like a woman dressing her daughter to fit in the status quo. Not original. Poor service. Ugly.

A friend introduced me to MADISON & FRIENDS about 2 years ago and I have been hooked ever since. I stop by almost once a month and never leave empty handed. They have a great selection of hip new clothes, for adults and children!

  • Pros: Awesome selection!
  • Cons: PRICEY!!!

This Gold Coast shop is filled with cutie-pie clothes for super-cool kids.

The Scene
Brimming with ooh-and-ahh inducing garments for little guys and gals, this small, colorful space will woo you into wanting babies, if only to dress them in these stylish frocks. Traditional palettes are replaced with more contemporary colors that capture the eye left and right. Reserved but friendly enough, employees will gladly answer questions and help find sizes.

The Goods
Move over pink, baby blue and pale yellow. Enter "tomato," celadon and "sky." The fashion police can't touch kids who wear caps that sport sayings like "dude" and "pretty" or who get dolled-up in sweaters of pre-washed vintage fabrics. Special-occasion girly garb, lambswool-lined car coats, colorful puppets and mesmerizing musical mobiles cover all the bases. Fur-lined boots, sheared rabbit coats and leather blazers keep kiddies cozy and oh-so-stylish in winter.
