This is a Great All American place for Chicago! We did not have to wait long for a table, but while we did we had a drink from the bar upstairs. We didn't mind waiting as we got to take our photo with the man himself, Coach Ditka! We were very excited and he was very pleasant considering how many people flocked to him. The food was delicious and plenty of it. One of the things that made is such an enjoyable expereience was the waitstaff. They were very courteous, very knowlegeable about the food, it's indgredients, different wines, and had lots of input about Chicago on where to visit, etc.. We will definetly go back next visit.

Awful food, I cheeseburger appetizers taste like old hamburger meat, potroast nachos where greasy and hard, the banana pie taste like it was made with a box of banana pudding and nutri-grain crust, caesar salad was oily. I will never go back even if someone else paid for my dinner. Our server was nice and very apologetic but it was not her fought.

Pros: FREE VALET

Cons: AWFUL FOOD , VERY EXPENSIVE

I'm from Los Angeles and recently went to Ditka's while on vacation. The restaurant is nice and the prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. The best part was I got to meet the coach while I was there! He came in for a drink with his wife and I went up to him and asked if I could get a picture. He was really nice about it!!! Plus, the food was delicious as well. If you are going to be in Chicago, as I was, then I definitely recommend dropping by. You might even get to meet the coach!

Pros: Ambience, Food, The Coach!

Cons: Parking

I live in Wisconsin and we frequent Chicago at least once a month (my husband and I grew up there). My husband surprise me for my birthday (the day after Thanksgiving) and we ate at Ditka's for the first time and the food was very good. We both found the food to be of top quality and our waiter Juan was great! I had the fillet Mignon and Crab Bisque, both was Delicious. My husband had the Ribs and they were some of the best we've tried and I cook very well. My only complaint would be to add larger crab pieces in the bisque. The bread was very tasty. We will come again and tell all our family and friends.

Pros: Great food

Before the food or the drink I need to talk about Ditka. Right when I walked in Mike Ditka himself was standing there. I had the pleasure of meeting him and his was very approachable. The waiter said that he comes in almost everyday during the week, but not the weekends. Anway, the steak was top notch. I really enjoyed the crab bisque, but would have liked some actual chunks on meat in there. I also enjoyed Ditka's Beer, it tasted like a pale ale but im not sure. Next time I visit I want to go for lunch and try the #1 Burger.

Pros: Ditka, Steak, Beer

Cons: Cigar Smoke, Bathroom Attendant Burnt My Hand w/ Hot Water

The BBQ baby back ribs were unbelievable. The service was top notch, the sides are excellent (great fries), and the bread basket was a surprising highlight as well. I have also tasted the roasted chicken, which is delicious as well. Prices were reasonable, and actually a great value considering the quality. ($15+ for the main course; ribs = $22, chicken = $16). Serving size is big! A load of (some fantastic) fries with the ribs that could have fed 3 people, and all the gormet bread you want. The atmosphere in the dining room has dim lighting and is great for business or romance. It has an upscale feel. For a more casual experience, you can eat in the bar area. Located just off the Magnificent Mile (you can see it from N Michigan), you can't beat this spot. A GREAT restaurant, and the highlight of my recent Chicago trip.

Pros: Quality, Service, Ambience
