THE best Chinese food. Been eating here for years and have always left stuffed but extremely satisfied. Best to go with a group so that you can order a lot and taste everything. For starters, my fav's are Fried Shrimp Toast, Taiwan Chicken Rolls, Canton BBQ Spareribs, and Jelly Fish Salad. My hubby can't get enough of the Vegetarian Duck and Drunken Chicken. For the main dishes, my friends and I really love the Lobster Cantonese, Sauteed Watercress, Moo Shu Pork, Szechwan Eggplant, and Walnut Shrimp. For special occasions, their Peking Duck is superb. Usually, we never have enough room for dessert but I'll place an order of the House Special Fried Noodle to go. The bar is well stocked as well. Having a Chimay beer with a spicy dish really hits the spot. Bottom line: Szechwan Restaurant serves a lot of dishes that you can't find elsewhere. Even if you could find a place that serves that particular dish, Szechwan always does it better.

Pros: Great variety, great quality, friendly & helpful staff

I was delighted to find chicken feet on the menu, I took it as a sign that this place is more authentic that most Chinese restaurant in the USA. The garlic chicken was delicious! I was not crazy about the bean curd wrapped meat rolls, but it is probably just my personal preference. The service was not friendly, but again, this may be just a cultural difference. I will gladly go back to try more items on the menu.

Ha ha. I suggest if you're so disgusted by such things, that you never eat chinese food again. We all know you take your chances at a Chinese restaurant. Maybe you should stick to mcdonalds. They have a nice asian salad or something that might meet your standards. Or just never leave the sanitary conditions of your house, which are probably worse than that of the resaturants.

This place is just plain disgusting and a health hazzard. When we got there, we looked at our glasses of water and noticed lipstick stains on the glass. We asked them to replace it and we never got another glass of water until we asked for it twice. We then had the garlic chicken - after two bites, we found a very long piece of hair smothered in the brown garlic sauce. We told the waiter and he said he would just cancel the dish and told us to share the rest of our food. We tried to ask for a free replacement but he just kept repeating he cancelled the dish. I dont' think he understood the concept of replacing a dish free of charge if there's a long piece of hair in it. Any other restaurant would do that. Then they went on to ignore us for the rest of the meal. We finally tracked the waiter and asked him for another garlic chicken. He got us another dish of it then proceeded to charge us full price for it. I'm not sure how they afford to pay the rent in such a huge place when the place is half empty all the time. I'm also concerned with the basic hygiene of the place and plan on reporting them to the state inspectors. As a healthcare provider, I worry about the health of vulnerable populations such as the elderly and the very young when they eat at a place like this. If your immune system is working well, then by all means, strengthen it further by eating here.

Pros: cheap food, great location

Cons: dirty, unsanitary, terrible service, bland decor, stained linens

The food was so good we ate there 2 different days during our trip. The lunch buffet is huge and the prices are very reasonable. This will always be a stop when I'm in Chicago. Fyi, if can not have msg make sure you tell them. They still use it.

Pros: great food, prices, service

Cons: msg
