We went to eat at DLR because our teenage daughters wanted to go after a concert...knowing full well what it was about. I still hated it. The food was ok but the place was dirty and smelled like sewer - the Chicago River!!! Also, there was one guy that literally walked by and pushed my friend's head forward. I wanted to say something to the manager but our kids (being teenagers) did not want us to say something for fear of being singled out. In my book hitting someone is uncalled for and battery!!! To this day it makes me mad that I didn't say something. I get the rude, poor attitude gimmick but purposely hitting or putting your hands on someone is uncalled for. I do plan on contacting the manager and reporting this incident. My friend is too nice to do so - but I am not. I would never go there again because of this incident. My suggestion to anyone that wants to go there - go only if you can take the punishment they give and like so-so food. Really too bad they took it one step to far. The gimmick is different and unusual but the pushing someone's head forward is not acceptable!!!
- Pros: Food was ok - gimmick different
- Cons: Smells, staff puts their hands on you, sticky tables
This place is HORRIBLE! honestly.

It was my first time visiting Chicago, I absolutely didn't know about this "rude service thing" I was absolutely amazed!!! Of course i would NEVER tip somebody whose mean and arrogant. This place is a joke seriously. I didn't eat at all, from the beginning this person started being a completely dumb*** I stood up and left the restaurant. I can't believe being a dumb*** is today's great thing and suppousely funny. Can't believe it.
- Pros: the view
- Cons: didn't find it FUNNY.

I was there for lunch with a bunch of friends for my friend's birthday. One of my friends had recommended the restaurant and I was so excited about how the waiters and waitresses were going to treat him, knowing the restaurant's unique reputation. Even though I expected to get rude and hilarious service, I did not expect to get almost no service at all! I have never had a more uncomfortable lunch before and it was my friend's birthday! I am embarrassed to have picked the restaurant!
- Pros: waterfront dining, near a movie theater
- Cons: service is based on how much food you order
You'll love it

we were in a hotel in downtown chiacgo and didnt have reservations to any restuarant and then we looked through the restuarant book and saw this. We werent expecting some fancy dinner. somewhere casual. we were with another family. they had three kids and we had two. we knew the whole staff no manners thing. which made it twice as funny. they had live entertainment. My daughter had a great time she screamed along so the whole place could here. we laughed . it was a great way to end a vacation. if you have no sense of humor dont go. but if u do go for suree
- Pros: it's a great time overall
- Cons: they swear alot. so if you censor dont bring kids
awful

I've been to a lot of bars. This place is dirty. That's why it smells funny. That's why the bars and tables are sticky. How hard is it to take pride in your business? Can someone clean the bathroom already? The beers are way overpriced. And I had no interest in food preparation from a staff who keeps their place scummy. Can we at least wipe down the bars? And what's with the "rude" thing? Is it supposed to be fuunny? Well, it's also funny when I don't tip yer azz 'cause all I wanted was some customer service. This place is a joke. If you want to spend the time and money to go to a bar, then go to a real business- not this playground. I would not recommend this place. It's stupid.
The good, the bad, the stupid reviewers.

The biggest problem with DLR are the first time patrons that do not have a clue what the place is about. We have been there many times and had a geat time. It can get a little rude from time to time but the waitstaff does a good job on figuring out how your group is to be treated. We have been there with our grandkids and they have been very helpfull. Other times we where there as an adult group, drinking and dancing and they treated us rudely and it was fantastic! We enjoy all types of places and the Last Resort is a fun place with better than average food.
Their burboun glazed salmon is some of the best I have ever had!
Go there with an open mind and you'll have a great time.
- Pros: Close to everything and above average bar food.
- Cons: Can be boring at times, depending on the crowd.
